I drive a stick and only a stick but I just don't care to learn how that crap works /bc it makes me mad when I drive.

I don't want to hold a speed or follow anyone -

This being said, I rarely drive long distances but when I do - I still don't use the thing..

I also use a radar detector - at first, when I got the truck - I thought I could drive without it, then I almost got a tix from highway patrol [65 in a 55] so -

The cruise control doesn't respond to the radar detector and never will -
but I do, quickly and I don't get tix b/c of this . . . been tix free for like 6yr now [so tomorrow I am screwed for saying this]

More tech = more shit to break, harder to fix/more $$ to fix - don't like that at all..

That’s probably the best way to put it, nanny tech. The first time I used adaptive cruise control I hated and I still hate it but luckily you can override it, it’s just not for me.

    @MFTAF13

you are right 100% - people need to be paying attention when they drive and nanny tech makes it way too easy to fuck around behind the wheel..
which is why I hate it

i continue to drive a MT b/c it is engaging and ensures i am focused on the road/people ahead of me

driving is the most dangerous thing + we all do regularly - i feel like most people don't respect that fact like they should

Right because there was never any accidents before nanny tech. Lol
Good drivers are good drivers and same goes with bad.

ACC is amazing and makes hrs long in stop and go or long highway almost fun. If a computer can do a repetitive menial task for me I’m in.

I drive with the fogs on - I am more than capable of pushing a button, I am not stupid.

I just don't like the function of cruise control and it is incompatible with the way I drive.

To many arguments about adaptive cruise.

And for the very first time in forum history, the following phrase will be uttered on TW with sincerity:
there isn't enough arguing about 2nd vs 3rd gens.
