Did this yesterday, plus all the checks and fills. Loaded and ready for my trip to Arkansas. Only put 2500 miles on since mid October... about to go big next week though! 991 miles as the crow flies from Ashland to Sand Gap AR. Can't image how many with my wandering ass at the helm. Hope gas prices ease some-topped spares and tank and had a bit of sticker shock...

Oh there will be some mods all right
When I did my road trip out to Colorado I paid more in gas than food and hotels combined :bananadead:

Looking good! I am on edition 4 or 5 now. The winch has thrown a wrench in things, but the good news is I can sleep anywhere on anything and my wife sleeps on the other side. She refuses to consider a RTT because she is convinced of a pee break ending in injury (and frankly her skills are compromised since the cancer, so I haven't even considered arguing the point...) Not as civilized as yours by far, but serviceable-bug screen for pests, a tarp for rain and heat by Jack Daniels.

Must be a good day for projects.

I am making some progress on sleeping platform V4.0. The rear section is basically done, except for drawers. I made a removable piece for the driver's side so I can have more space when the spare isn't in there.

The biggest thing I'm doing differently is that I removed the rear seats entirely. This opens up a ton of extra space. I'll have 76" of length for sleeping, and I can store the Hi-Lift and other things on the floor, which is way more ideal than the roof, IMO.

    So. Many. Stickers.
I always laugh at people that have tons of tools and gear up on the roof. Like how you going to get that down when you're sitting on the side of a mountain with a flat tire in the rain lol

Yep! Aside from convenient access, I like keeping heavy stuff as low and centered as possible (when it's practical).

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
This is exactly why I store extra weight around my midsection, not wanting to weigh down my upper body :p

    Looking good!

As for projects I cut a hole in my floor. Even though I did my best tring to contain the grindings. My interior is very sparkly. Looks like there was 10 strippers having a glitter party in the cab.

Looks really good! Cutting the floor takes some balls. Can't wait to see it come together!

I'm a little jealous I wasn't invited to the stripper party. :anonymous:

    Looking really good!
