What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Greatly improved throttle response and much better shift points are really the most notable things...everything just feels so smooth and responsive now. It really makes the truck drive like a different animal...like how it should have come from the factory.

Anybody else have streaks IN their glass? It’s not on the outside or inside. It’s hard to see. Thinking it’s between the film they use to keep the windshield from shattering. It’s driving me nuts.

 

No ditch lights and just some cheap pro comp wheels that serve a purpose. You know you started this by chiming in on a conversation you weren’t even in, but it’s an open forum and we still have some freedoms here. In any case didn’t think you would be so sensitive over some harmless ribbing. I digress.

Why did you make the change? Is it a better fit?

 

I just got a 22 manual last week, there is no slave master on the fender, at first glance, it looks like the slave runs from the brake master?

 

8 years at the Pentagon. 2 hours each way. Never again

 

I added the light blockers for the camera. Programed the Homelink. Added a dashcam.

All of the fund stuff comes in when the parts arrive from the parts department.

 

I can tell a huge difference considering I had a 2” spacer lift before hand. Had a bad vibration and terrible handling. With the new uca I got the correct alignment and the coils and new shocks are a nice compliment . I can’t say if that’s what fixed the vibration or replacing the needle bearing was the fix but either why I would highly recommend this setup. Feels like a whole new truck. The ride is more firm but in a great way. I feel in control of the vehicle. The steering is nice and tight.

 

There are two different types of brake reservoirs on the tacomas and I dont know why one has one or the other (think it has to do with the ATRAC system, but haven't confirmed). Does yours have the donut looking brake booster on the fire wall. If so I guess those manuals don't have a separate clutch reservoir.

 

Get the Borla. Sounds great. Looks good. Nice clean and crisp sound.

 

No pics, but did Wheelers 2” AAL with Dobinsons greasable pins and Sumo springs.

 

@usna92 Where did you get the TRD logo'd light covers?

 

I got the Kayak rack and the PVC fishing rod holder all set up. Leaving for Baja on Wed and we'll see how they hold up.

lol, I was working under the hood of my wife's Impreza today and saw some schmutz sitting on top of the intake runners and recalled that photo. Was like

I'm going to have to dig out my shopvac one day after work and suck that crap out of there.

 

Similar. I've always suspected that my drivers side window was not cleaned before they applied the tint, so it always looks dusty/blurry even after a wash and wiping the windows inside and out. :-(
