There are two different types of brake reservoirs on the tacomas and I dont know why one has one or the other (think it has to do with the ATRAC system, but haven't confirmed). Does yours have the donut looking brake booster on the fire wall. If so I guess those manuals don't have a separate clutch reservoir.

Get the Borla. Sounds great. Looks good. Nice clean and crisp sound.

I got the Kayak rack and the PVC fishing rod holder all set up. Leaving for Baja on Wed and we'll see how they hold up. 20220320_190142.jpg 20220320_191451.jpg

lol, I was working under the hood of my wife's Impreza today and saw some schmutz sitting on top of the intake runners and recalled that photo. Was like

I'm going to have to dig out my shopvac one day after work and suck that crap out of there.

Similar. I've always suspected that my drivers side window was not cleaned before they applied the tint, so it always looks dusty/blurry even after a wash and wiping the windows inside and out. :-(

It was pretty easy, I watched a video on the cut itself and then went outside and taped up the bumper to my likings and it took a total of 30 mins for everything.

Just changed my oil in my truck for the first time after it being serviced at the dealership for free since I bought it.

Ended up having to go out and buy a two foot long 1/2" drive breaker bar just to get the filter cup off. Was worried that I was going to break off the cup since it is plastic. Going to purchase a fumoto drain valve and metal filter cup just to make sure that this never happens to me.

Refilled with 6.2 quarts of AMSOIL signature, but couldn't pick up an AMSOIL oil filter, so I had to get an OEM one.

On final check before backing out, I found two bolts almost completely driven out and have no clue what they are for. Took a photo to see if anybody here knows what these are for and if I am good to loc-tite them. This is shot from the passenger side looking at the drivers side, and the bolts in question are directly in the center of the frame.

Those are just "can'tabulator fixing bolts". Nothing to fret about. 'Snug 'em up and call it good for another 100K ;-)

was on spring break last week....finally had the time to d oa full wash, clay bar ,and wax

    IMG_3418.jpg IMG_3419.jpg

man, it was tedious,, but definitely worth it. I don't get how some people do this every weekend!! Will probably do the claybar just twice a year...but dman, is it glassy!!

also, question about the KDMAX tune. Does anyone know of anyone who does these near central Ohio? I have PM'd both of the guys on the list from the thread here and they never responded...

Those two bolts secure the bar that protects the catalytic converters (one on passenger and drivers side). Blue loc-tite should do. Just removed these when I installed my transmission skid.

I’m almost scared of letting the lube tech change my oil at the dealership for this reason. I can remember our lube tech forgetting to put oil filters on. They hired a guy to do oil and on his first change, he thought topping it off meant completely filling the engine with oil until it was level with the hole in the valve cover. Literally filled the engine completely with oil.. Scary stuff. Don’t think I will utilize my 2 free oil changes in 2 years, maybe the dealership will just give me 2 oil filters so I can change it on my own?

I almost went with Carven too. The quality is great as well. But…after watching/listening to some audio clips/videos this Borla flagellates better in my ears…
