Have you seen the new Ryobi big boy toys? Riding lawnmowers and roto tillers. Never thought I would ever say that. I’m blow away with the technology that’s coming out. As much as I love the smell and sound of 2 stroke and the power of my twin cylinder 24hp JD mower the idea of sitting around on a Saturday afternoon on the back porch drinking ice tea and not having my ears ringing it starting to sound better and better. I must be getting old. I’m not a crazy ass whacko green energy person or a climate change control freak but damn there have been some big leaps and bounds in the last 5 years. If the technology and affordability start to be on par with what we have now the hippies might be onto something. Lol, I’ll have to check back in on this comment in 5 years and see if I eat my words:rofl:

Electric weed eaters are a God send. Way too many of my days have been spent turning a 30 minute job around the house into an all weekend event rebuilding 2 strokes.. Now on the other hand, if weedeating was my full time job, gas can’t be beat.

    UPDATE:

I ended up getting the M12 Service & Repair light figuring that it's a lot cheaper and more versatile. It seemed that it shouldn't be too hard to come up with some sort of gooseneck to replicate the functionality of the underbody light.

After a little searching on the internet, I found a company called SnakeClamp. They have a variety of goosenecks along with all kinds of bases and mounts. I got the magnetic base and the steel base to stick the light to. I also got a spring clamp base and a camera mount to use with my laser level.

Seems to work well. I added a metal L bracket to my (homemade) tool creeper so I can stick it on there and I might add a metal plate to the side of my creeper also.

Now I have a magnetic gooseneck light, a magnetic light and a handheld light all in one.

Still on the fence. I'll likely end up with a combo of brands, dropped some $ on the relentless stingray buper group buy going on right now so the tool purchases got shelved and I'm making do with a cordless drill and my charge every 30 minutes 18v DeWalt set for now Hmm home Depot eh...

I think this is the best one value, but for me I don't need it.

@Taco_GT-R has some good prices on specific tools. He was also really easy to work with when I bought the M12 SURGE from him.

The 18V version is part of the buy more, save more promo.

That is a killer tool. I just got to use mine for the first time this weekend and was impressed.

I have seen videos showing the replacement of the m18 mid-torque 1/2" pin detent anvil with the 1/2" hog ring anvil. Does anybody know if it is possible to replace the 1/2" hog ring with the 3/8" hog ring?

Just picked this up off Amazon. Had some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket. Amazon had the best current price at $202, everywhere else was $269.
Side by side with my Skil magnesium body worm drive it’s about 1-1/2” wider and I only cut one 2x4 with it to test it. Seems to have great power, but I noticed it does deflect dust right up the guard and into the operator’s face much more than the Skil.
Do wish it was narrower, but I guess since it’s not a true worm drive it is what it is.
I’m sure it’ll be plenty useful for around the yard projects!
Can’t wait to truly test it out!

The rear handle 7 1/4 is a hoss of a saw, I've got the regular 7 1/4 and I really wish it was the 6 1/2.
