I'm thinking about getting this. I drove about an hour yesterday and didn't hear or feel the vibration anymore now I'm confused on where it went. I might just buy a new carrier bearing since there is a sale on Toyota parts and the drop, and if I ever feel or hear again Ill be prepared.

Links and coils are a whole different ball game. Surprised Mr. T waited this long, but new 4th Gen Tacomas will do away with leafs. My cruiser has old school coils and link arms and makes such a big difference in ride and suspension.

If you know anyone who may be interested in OEM running boards for a 4th gen 4Runner send them my way. I have them listed for $50 on Fb Marketplace but if anyone on here wants them they're free.

    Okay,

The trip is still a go. Leaving Friday AM for Arkansas. I have some general questions, as I still have 3 feet of snow in my yard and you are hitting spring (or so I assume...). Will it be buggy? What is a chigger? Ticks? I will be mountain biking a lot so wondering about those guys. I have been checking the temps and weather in Sand Gap so i have a feel for the weather, but is there a trend like nice mornings afternoon T-storms etc.? Never been down your way so just wondering.

We just got back from 2 amazing nights right in the area where you're going. Snow sprinkles Friday night, and 75 today. Ticks are out already but not many, bit early for chiggers (google them and they're not fun times), no mosquitos in the mountains yet- black gnats are hatching but they're just a nuisance.

Only trend this time of year is cold fronts every few days. Some of them bring severe weather and heavy rainfall followed by a cold snap, but looks like you have a nice week of weather ahead of you once tuesday gets out of the way.

    Yeah.
Yeah, chiggers are the worst but won't be out for a few months. Just do a tick check when you are done riding, but it's a bit early for even those to be bad. Flash flooding from a storm is probably the biggest danger, just don't camp in a creek bottom.

I might, but He probably doesn't care about that too much

But I'm content to wait. I don't want to be a guinea pig on the new body style, even though I do like it. It'll have some kinks to work out. I've been told by the only honest dealer I know that the summer of 2023 will be trucks on top of trucks for sale, and it would be advantageous to wait til then if you're in the market. :fingerscrossed:

The new Tundra is nice but there's probably another kink or two that's going to show up that needs fixing with them. By Model Year 2024 they'll have them nailed down and by then there'll be tons of them available below MSRP. I went ahead and got my Tacoma because I don't tow anything and like the less-wide footprint of the Tacoma in my Garage. My kids are still small and by the time they're too big for the back of the Tacoma, the Tundra will be deep into this current generation.

The towing is a big draw for me. There's definitely compromises on both sides between space/towing and off road capability.

I may be biased too ;), but you've done well getting a TRD OR DCLB. IMHO, best tacoma configuration.

I'll be keeping it as long as I can cram my two boys (4 & 7) in there somehow :)

@pearing Not sure you'll get this considering you were leaving today, but as an FYI, severe weather is a possibility here on Weds, so hopefully you have NOAA capabilities on board and can keep an eye and ear on it.
