I dinged the shit out of my rear bumper hitting a steel pole in a parking lot today. Does that count. Talk about being pissed off at yourself.

 

I agree, replaced mine last summer. I was tired of of the black plastic coating scratching my arm driving around with the drivers window down. Definitely makes the truck look better.

Checked all my actuators I have laying around. 3 dead. But hey, 3 are still good. So I’ll clean them up and toss them in the 3 trucks so all the lockers work!

 

Finally started my rear bumper About 10 years too late

 

Snagged a camper sell and sleeping platform. Very excited to start camping in this thing

 

Do you do a lot of plastic work? These are extremely clean for your standard DIY.

So you have... 6 actuators? Ever think of selling one of the non working ones?

 

When I have time I have more than the three dead ones. I’ll go through and piece working ones together to sell. I have to dig the spare parts out of storage. At work when an FJ/taco comes in with a bad diff, the aftermarket warranty companies just pay us to swap whole diffs. The new Toyota diffs come in with new actuators so the old ones are free game. If anyone needs 8” diff housings with bad bearings I’ve got plenty of those too lol

I do know 2 of the ones last night are beyond saving. One had a hole in the cover the size of my thumb. I’m sure inside is toast

 

I would say those are definitely worth hoarding.

 

I saw a super sweet truck on the trail, thought I'd share.
Looks like a old S&R rig. Either way the shell was awesome. The rest of the truck was simple but reliable looking.
