Late reply to this thread as I just joined this forum but I’m from Van BC - ordered mine early august 2021 got it mid November.

 

I ordered at the beginning of November and my eta is Mar 16-20 so i'm waiting for the call.

 

I pre ordered mine at 2 different dealers in July/August 2021. Still waiting……
End of April is the earliest. And that’s for a 6A.

 

I wonder if the CP rail strike will have an effect on delivery dates?I took a deposit on my 2020 OR on saturday,my 2022 Sport isnt due to arrive until the last week of Apr.The buyer of my truck is willling to wait until then,but I wouldnt want to push it any longer.

I put a deposit in basically that same week in October. Dealer says he will have more info this week as they have finally been "allocated one" and will be built soon. He said 3 more months to be conservative. I ordered a black auto.

 

Was told by my dealer that they were not allocated any Tacoma's this month. Seems odd to me. Please my order for an OR Premium Magnetic Grey first week of Nov, nothing yet. They are seeing some Blue ones coming into Ontario that are not marked as sold, and if I wanted to change colour, they would see if they could snag one of those for me.
Starting to get concerned, I am using my 19 Tacoma OR as trade, and it the odometer is at 96000, requiring a reappraisal over 100000. Anyone have experience in a deal where the odometer hits this mythical number? How much of a hit did you get on the value?

 

Picked up my TRD Pro 6M Friday morning.

Deposit/Order/Trade-In: Sept. 25, 2021
Delivery: Mar. 18, 2022

A few observations at delivery:

• Side Tacoma emblems are chrome in Canada
• Rear TRD Pro emblem was installed crooked
• Hood TRD Pro decal missing
• Front bumper paint texture issues as described by others
  
• 2 paint blemishes, hood & behind passenger rear wheel

Weekend installs:

• Diamond Back cover
• Seat Jackers
• Blackout mirror signals - reverse sequential
• Meso Dual Colour map and dome lights
• Dash cam

Next week:

• PPF front end & hood
  
• Tint driver & passenger windows
• Ceramic paint protection coating

 

Looks great! That colour is growing on me. I checked the specs on Toyota.ca and it seems the black overlays are only a Trail thing. So strange. Thanks for the heads up. I will ensure my dealer puts that black overlays on ours or I will just remove the badges as it would look awful on a black truck.

The hood decal is part of the Canadian package though and your dealer should put it on for you if you want it.

 

The trail editions are also coming with chrome emblems. They are quite stripped down compared to the US vehicle. Manual rear window, no turn signal mirrors and no bed boxes and a few other minor differences. They do have heated seats however.

Update: was able to intercept an incoming TRD Sport in Red to my dealer, going to jump on that instead of my off road - cant wait ! ETA is May - i have a VIN which does not show up on Toyota app,maybe it takes some time?

My uncle placed an order for a 22 TRD Sport premium in Feb at a dealer in Hamilton. Dealer called him and told him they had to cancel the order because of a part shortage. offered him a SR5 which he refused. There is definitely something going on

 

What’s the point in getting one over an off-road then.

 

It won’t show up until they PDI the vehicle. Basically the VIN exists on paper, not in Toyotas system.

did your PRO come with blackout badging or does it have chrome badging on the doors? What about the hood decal?

 

MT is the best because it gives you the ability to shift when you want and not struggle with the automatic tranny struggling to find gears.
