Damn. Lesson learned for the day. I thought predatory birds were the only ones protected......I'm an oddball.....even though I'm born and bred in Alabama.....I don't hunt

    It could be worse....

They've destroyed my Roof-mounted TV antenna. I need to replace that this spring.
They've also made their nests on the condenser-side of two of my air conditioners... They actually forced their way through the ventholes. I can hear them at sunrise flapping around...

You could always do what they do in Penn Station... Put a bed of spikes on your mirrors so they can't land.. :D

Oh man I know I lived in the downtown grid of HB for 26 years . You can't do much but work and spend money blowing off steam.

It was a joke . Birds can be a nuisance but I do leave them alone by general rule .

    I guess I'm a internet bird gangster .

Only of a very limited species - like an eagle. I have tons of bird feathers. Legal.

I think that only applies to birds of prey.

My problem is i have a bird lady that lives less than 100' next door. She has over 3 dozen feeders, and now this spring a chit load of new bird houses. Between the feeders, and houses their everywhere throughout her yard. The flocks of birds gorge themselves on birdseed, and fly in my yard bombing my truck no matter where its parked in my front yard. Only thing i can probably do is build a car port to park the truck under, but those birds would probably fly in there to.

I really hope you are kidding brother. They are just being birds. They add so much beauty to our world and I personally am more than willing to clean up after them if they occasionally crap on my truck.

PS: would you shoot a dog if it crapped in your yard? Kinda the same thing right?

    Because reading is hard.

For the record I couldn't care less how many feathers you have, legal or not. I doubt the cops are gonna break down your door and cart you off to the hoosegow for feather possession.

Just thought you might like to know what the law actually is because, as any lawyer or judge will tell you..."Ignorance of the law is no excuse."

Of course, some people like being ignorant.
