Offroading is the plan no matter what, the budget can do the spacers it can't do a whole lift right now. Just wondering for the price the spacers seem the better fit without over exerting the shocks

You run the risk of damaging things offroading with the spacer lift. My suggestion is to just keep saving until you can do it right. Suspensions are one of those things that doing it wrong can have horrible safety issues.

Why not say that from the start, however the other option doesn't seem the best either.

    A few.
On this video at about the 7:30 minute mark it shows a quick view of the rear suspension. Its kind of a quick view but I swear I see a lift block between the rear axle and leaf spring there. The same style block that's part of the 2/1 TRD lift that is being sold but in a thinner 1/2" thick version.

You are correct. When I looked at a glance all I saw was the platform with the weld. I missed the 1/2" block. you can see it in the video. But here is a picture from my personal Pro.

I’m confused. My understanding was that the lift specs for the 2022 were an additional lift over prior year pros, but reading some of these posts leads me to believe the numbers are compared the regular Tacomas. Which is it?

My understanding is that it's over other trims. So '20-'21 (maybe earlier years, too?) is 1" over, '22 is 1.5".

2017-2021 trd pro is 1 inch over other models, 2022 pro is 1.5 inch over 2017-2021 pro (2.5 inches over other models)

2017-2021 pro with eibach springs is 2.5 inches over other models and the same height as 2022 pro.

Also, my pro with the Eibach springs seemed much taller than 2.5 above other trims, and that’s before the 33s.

I had seen this too but I’m not sure Forbes has it right. I think the way it was marketed has caused a lot of confusion all over the place.

Ive read both that its 1.5 over other tacomas and that its 1.5 over other pros.

Your pro with the eibachs should only be about 2.5 taller than other trims, though it may seem like more due to you having new springs and others having older springs. But the old pros had 1 inch and the eibach offered 1.5 extra (roughly)

Well that doesnt line up with anything.... if it was 1.5 inches over other tacomas then it would be 72.1 inches not 71.6. So those numbers are wrong no matter if you think its 1.5 or 2.5 inches over other models.

The first picture of ground clearance is meaningless, thats measured at the diff anyways.

I realized that the diff wouldn’t change after I had sent it.:frusty:Well, if Toyota can’t even get it right, can we just make shit up on here like we always do? My truck is 2.5 feet taller now. Prove me wrong.

Works for me, can you fit 33s under the 2.5 foot lift?. You would think the toyota specs would be inline with toyotas claims that its taller than the last pro.

I’m convinced it’s taller than previous pros, but not by 1.5” without more changes to suspension. (Other than the shiny new UCA and the aforementioned block, it looks the same.)

I’m also convinced I could have fit 33s without the new springs. No trimming needed; no rubbing even at full lock in reverse.

I don’t know if this helps.

My 2010 Tacoma sr5 265/75/16, with bilstien sport shocks stood 34.5” from ground to fender (measured through center of the wheel)

My 2022 Tacoma trd pro 265/70/16, pro suspension, stands 36.1875” from ground to fender (measured through center of the wheel).

    I don’t have other 3rd gen measurements.

Very curious on which is correct. Also, on how they got the extra lift. New coil? Spacer?
