Actually. Can we figure this out now? If his is 36ish” with 265/70/16 and mine is 38ish” with 285/75/16 and the 1.3” springs…

If you go from Center of hub to fender that gives a more accurate measurement for lift

Perhaps with a pre- and post-lift measurement that is true, considering tire pressure, uneven ground, etc.

Sorry, the “perhaps” seemed argumentative. I agree with you. Makes perfect sense and I wish I had measured that while OEM.

I could have responded better, I’ll delete the comment. someone with a stock 21 pro should be able to measure for you guys.

No, no, you were fine; either way, my skin is thicker than that.

I searched, so I’m hoping someone does chime in.

    A few.
To keep it simple the 2022 TrdPro is lifted 1/2" higher both front and rear than the previous 2017-2021 Trd Pro.

Thanks for posting, been trying to find this answer for awhile. Looks like Toyota engineered a block that has additional edges that face downward to help secure the block in place. I am curious if this block is bolted in with the rest of the leaf pack.

I think the additional .5” up front is achieved with a longer coil over, as opposed to a higher spring rate. No way to know without inquiring with Fox.

Any chance you could provide the part number on your front coil over?

Sorry. I do not have the part number for the suspension parts.

Sharing some photos of the new UCA from a video that was posted to Insta. It appears the new UCA is not able to clear 285/75r16 on stock TRD Pro wheels. 2021 and earlier models do not have this issue. Kinda surprised Toyota didn’t engineer a control arm that can accommodate 285s.

Driver and passenger sides both rub, you can see some of the red paint coming off. The tires are Toyo MT, but I’d assume most of the other 285s will rub.

Close up of the strut assembly seems to point to no top spacer, as this looks identical to the 2020-2021 setup. I’m betting a taller spring was used, and the valving was slightly modified for 2022 Fox shocks.

Dang, no disputing that. I wonder if Eibach’s spring upgrade for 20-21 is simply what they used for 22, considering that make the springs for Fox/Toyota.

I wouldn’t rule it out. It would explain why the 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro had a delayed release compared to the 4runner. Additionally if you re-read the Eibach thread the 2020-2021 spring was supposed to come out first, and then without any provided reason the 2016-2019 was moved up. The 2020-2021 Eibach spring coincidently was released the same month 2022 TRD Pros started to be delivered.

The one issue with this theory is that the 2022 Pro is only .5” taller than the previous year, whereas the Eibach kit provides ~1.2” of lift. Maybe the new 2022 coil-over was made with the same material as the 2020+ Eibach kit, but the length of the two coil-overs is different. This could explain the delay on both the Eibach kit and the 2022 Pro.

Just to be comparable, I measured from the ground on my 2022 Pro with 285’s on. ~37.5” front, ~38.5” rear….give or take an 1/8”.

That gives the guys a rough idea, but you remove alot of variables if you go from Center of hub to fender.

Pretty disappointing news on this. Is this at full lock or just all the time?

Do you think spacers and or a lift could fox this?

    Thanks for the info!

Mine only rubs slightly at full lock. These pictures look like they rub more than mine do, probably because these are MT’s?
I don’t want to add more lift and I don’t want to mess with the caster on my wheel alignment at this point because I’m happy with the setup and functionality that I have at the moment.
I went out on some forest roads and light wheeling last week and didn’t rub at all, but I was being super careful. It def needs to be fixed for a long term 4x4 application.
I’ve ordered both .75” and 1” spacers from Motorsport Tech to see what works. I would like to minimize the wheel poke but still have a solution; I’m really happy with the look and stance that I have right now.
