If you were running Crank Brothers pedals, they recommend a cleat shield for their clips. Not needed if using SPD clips.

The tourism board with the most $ wins. The riding was forgettable. But the fellowship was cool

There was so much drama here last weekend with that snow. We were snowboarding down the MTB trails lol

yea wow im an idiot regarding brake placement, in/out. I moved them in a bit and wow.

im still braking with one finger, but my hands are more centered on my grips, which have like an ergo bump in the middle (i may swap these out).

gonna order one of those suntour forks through their upgrade program this week too. we'll see how it compares to my fox on my transition lol

I use ergon grips to get more surface under the heel of my hand and also have my levers/grips aligned and somewhat flat. Individual body geometry alters it a bit.

That taper shape of the Ergons works well for me. I always wear down holes on the topside of my grips but it doesn't happen with those. (GA2)

    Yeah.
I've tried Ergons and adjusted them up and down and they just bug me. I'm sure it's just a personal problem, but just some ODI Ruffians (or comparable) and good gloves does the trick for me.

Every bike I have bought has the brake levers pointed way down. The first thing I do is tilt them up and fix the brakes and the shifters to fit my preference. But I never have them completely horizontal, lol. Yoann Barelli spends a lot of his time going down steep stuff, so it makes a lot of sense for his to be more level, but I am a fan of a flatter configuration for when you really need good brake control.

Same. Loved the Knuckledusters, tried the Supracush and liked those better. Just got a set of Lockjaws to see if the combo of the two are more betterer.

When I bought my Polygon, I hated the factory grips. They got slippery when they got wet and I needed to have a death grip on them. I’ve been rocking PNW Loam grips and really like them.

Nice. would lov eto get your opinion. I love the supracush because of how cushy they are but still able to feel the trail. Also, how ic an turn the grip any which way and it's agnostic of direction. hahah.

Yes, this is true if it's not one thing it's another, at least this one has a chance to increase with inflation. It's like a comment I read on gundeals subreddit, "Remember, buying ammo isn’t really spending money. You are just exchanging one type of currency for another. You have only spent money once you’ve shot it."
