Yes we do. These aren't flip of the switch solutions. it takes time and it's working. Just needs to continue it's growth. Coal will eventually die out to renewables. As will natural gas electric generation.

Mercedes is fantastic, 14-16 mpg diesel.
If we camp with a bunch, wife follows with Tacoma loaded up, otherwise just tow the rubicon. Only 24 feet long, full slide so lots of area for our 3 labs

Aren't being forced? I'm sorry but you just haven't been paying attention to what's been happening for the last 14 months. It absolutely is being forced. You just have to recognize the manipulation and understand it for what it is. The powers that be have agendas that they want to see through. Honestly, I don't understand how people don't see this. My wallet certainly is a witness to it.

You aren't saying there's a conspiracy to force people to switch to EVs? Tell me that's not what you're saying.

To answer that is hard on this forum. And it's not what you think either (Well not totally) How about telling me your age since you know mine so I know your perspective and life experience.

Honestly, if Toyota announced an all electric tacoma, duel motor, 350 mile range , adjustable shocks on the fly, fast charging, starting at 42k, and opened ordering, they would have a million pre orders by this weekend as long as it looked like a Tacoma.

Early 50's and I don't know your age and if you can't say it it means yes you think there is a conspiracy.

I said my age in a previous post you quoted. Gas prices are not only subjected to supply and demand but also speculation. Speculation from "the powers that be" are against fossil fuels so prices rise. For the last 16 months not the last 3 like what is being touted now. I called it an agenda, not a conspiracy. That would actually take a plan and multiple partners and genuine intelligence.

Oil is a world wide commodity which prices are set mostly by OPEC nations, the USA is not in OPEC, and a worldwide agenda for OPEC to raise oil prices to switch to EV's seems counter to their business model. It's obvious the USA needs to switch from oil from all nations, mostly Canada, to renewables. ICE cars will be here long after we are in the ground and you have nothing to worry about. Also, prices went up the past 16 months because more cars are on the road because the pandemic is easing. More cars, more gas demand. Not any one politicians doing.

More demand than any other year? 2016 says otherwise. Not that far off demand wise. I was paying $2.20 a gallon not 2X that. Funny you assumed that I was only talking about politicians. Don't think for a second that big oil isn't to blame too. I think this is their rebuttal to the politicians and their agenda. I defer to my comment about speculation. Do 2 wrongs make a right?

Dealership let me use a Tesla over the weekend and it was so hard to give it back I asked to get a deal put together for a trade in on a nice red/white 19’ model 3 long range AWD. Testing out a supercharger and max charge rate I saw was just over 800 miles an hour. Took around 20 minutes to get to 80% or 220 miles.

Exactly. If I had to drive my own car for work, I would get a shitty leaf or prius for sure. Luckily somenoe else pays my fuel bills.

    Unfortunately this is true,

But I am waiting for micro nuclear reactors in every car:D

    Brand new.
Be glad you didn't own a ram truck with a hemi in it or your vehicle is a diesel , it would be way worse.
i had a Ram and now a Tacoma owner and a new one on the way, i don't mind the gas prices but i only also drive 24 miles to and from work each day.
