GS Leather wallet

Adding a new color option to this round. This is natural VegTan leather. I added a conditioner to it but will otherwise leave the leather unsealed. This means that the leather will patina and stain as it ages very similar to what you would see in equestrian saddles and harnesses. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but no two wallets like this will end up the same after use. They’re actually a little harder to make because I have to be extra careful when making it to not get any adhesive anywhere that will be seen when complete. I pretty much have to wear gloves just to make it. Shown with a chocolate wallet for comparison.

Looks great Bert! The chocolate is my favorite color choice for this project. I’m currently wearing the natural leather wallet and it’s already weathering in nicely!

My wife insisted on the beard. She says it helps, because it covers about 50% of my ugly face. She's a keeper!

 

Strange request. Could you add a small pocket where the wallet folds to hold a pair of tweezers. I am a machinist and have carried a pair of tweezers in my wallet for 30 years. The pocket would need to be able to fit approximately .25" dia and about 1.5" long. Willing to pay for the customization.

Thank you both for your support! I fancy myself somewhat of a maker since I stretch out across a lot of different mediums. Still I find myself looking at things with the satisfaction that I made it. Funny enough I was in a meeting for work today and caught myself smelling my wallet between fielding questions.

 

That patina looks amazing! I have a notebook cover that I made using the same leather and it’s been with me on every trip since. Gotten wet, dirt, mud and coffee spilled on it and looks better everyday. Thanks for the update Tyler!
