Hello Tacomaworld, I'm in search of the King t-handle tool that has the angled tip for adjusting the collar on 2.5's. Ordered one online but won't be here for awhile and trying to adjust my kings before the weekend to get an alignment done as well. Does anyone have one I can borrow or purchase located near Murrieta/Temecula area? Much appreciated!

Gotcha, thanks for the reply! Does this tool clear the coil bucket/the hose fitting? I hate to remove the shocks again just to adjust the collar if necessary

if you don't have a bunch of pre load on the CO that will make the collar hard to turn just jack the truck up and let the suspension droop all the way out, loosen the allen set screw and you can use a punch or an allen wrench to insert into the holes in the collar to turn the collar

I've tried adjusting it with the standard punch that it comes with. The problem isn't getting the collar to turn, it's that the reservoir hose fitting limits the movement of the punch and because of the pinch bolt, the next hole on the collar is out of reach so you need something angled like the t-handle tool to reach around it. I actually called a local shop, Nexgen Offroad, and they can get the tool by Thursday for me. I appreciate the info though!

If you're having trouble with clearance on the shock adjustment tools, try disconnecting your spindle from the lower ball joint. Put two lug nuts on and jack up the wheel hub to raise your spindle and upper control arm out of the way. This is what I have done in the past on my Tundra with 2.5 Kings, but they don't have resis.
