Could be a GFI breaker too. If its a relatively new house you wont see the standard push button receps were used to seeing.

I believe a GFCI breaker on that/those circuits would satisfy the code requirements.

Required or not having garage plugs GFCI protected is wise.

The whole house is on GFCI breakers. So basically everything in the house is on GFCI. And the breakers are pricy

I'm still trying to figure out if a split phase 220v (240v) garage circuit requires a GFI of some sort. I've been told both yes and no.

It will be two 20amp breakers (tied together so if 1 trips the other will as well), 12/3 run to the 20 amp recep. The power cord to the motor is 12/4 SJOOW, so it will have 2 legs of 110v each.

Well, since everybody is painting, I figured I better get started. Caulked everything yesterday so it had overnight to dry/cure. I couldn't find my normal oil based exterior primer so I tried something new...

I actually really liked how it went down. Covered up and soaked into the treated 1x's really good!

Course, for the topcoat I went with the old standby...

One coat of primer and two coats paint later...

Once I got some paint on the 1x's I realized how crappy the lumber is. A couple bottom 1x6 are twisted and the two 1x4 around the door shrunk pretty bad. I'll eventually replace them, but I have other pressing issues. Still deciding on color for the siding. Probably gonna get a color to match the shed.

Also, the face plate screws need to be vertical.

I actually told the electrician when they were wiring my house that all the faceplate screws needed to be vertical

It's amazing how split finish guys are on this. Me. Always mitering. My boss. Always coping. I've done both but find mitering faster and just as good if your saw is accurate. It's a far away shot but this is a kitchen I installed last week. 5" 52 degree spring angle stain grade crown. Let's just say the painter won't be needing any putty. lol

Hickory. They do look a lot like alder though.

KraftMaid, aka Home Depot. Not the greatest as far as hardware but not the worse.
