A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Well, March Madness I guess. We had gotten 0.66", and the last warning expired around 11, when I headed for bed. Confirmed tornado early in the storm down on 80 by Luling, unconfirmed by the airport here, Buda/Kyle reports. In the midst of all the tornado warnings, it quit raining and the sun came out.

    20220321_181501 1.jpg

Bedtime, a mere Severe Storm warning came up for us. Only possible hail. So, lying in bed, the windows start lighting up, thunder is overhead, and I can hear the rain (rare to hear in the bedroom) and the hails came. Blowing like crazy.

This lasted about an hour. Got up, but I could not see the hail in the dark. Wife checked the front and said nickel/dime size. I check LBR hood this morning in the dark, and it's still smooth! Fixing to go uncover the RAV, and make more checks. Haven't seen any signs of damage. 4.25" in the overnight!

So, glad you're all still with me!

    Morning.
Wasn’t a good gym day for me.
Broke 2 treadmills trying to do cardio.
Guess them dam things can’t handle all of this.. lol

So that got me off my routine so plan “B”

    Yea right.
First machine, halfway through a set noticed a pulley pin halfway out.
Would have had a self inflicted broken jaw if they had popped out.

Decided to cut my losses for today and come home.
I’m still sore and hardly did shit..

    oh yea, that’s right.
You guys keep telling me I’m old..

Well, hooray - everything intact as far as I can see. Vehicles good. Some roof gravel on the walks. And this lone patch of leftover hail in the courtyard.

I'm sure it was a little bigger last night.

I always hate the word hail.
Seen plenty of destroyed cars come through the shop.
So I pack the garage with every vehicle anytime a poss hail warning comes up.
    Nice idea on the blankets..

I dislike that word as well. I have missed every Central Texas hail storm personally for over 35 years now - and not by much. We drove off once to go to dinner with our insurance agent, and it started hailing hard as we drove off. We missed anything serious, but the house got pummeled! We got back from dinner - he says "new roof!" Two years before I retired, when work was a full parking lot, I left for a Dr. appointment. Two hours later, every vehicle in that lot was totaled!
Some vehicle covers will be here tomorrow, and only for that purpose. Lacking a parking garage; some of those blanket under the covers will be the best I can do. Hail comes with Spring every year, and I kept saying "I'm gonna order some covers".....
It's been 25 years since we had a tornado outbreak like yesterday though.

When STP (Seattle To Portland) moved to July I decided I'd done enough of them. Chilly Hilly every couple of years if I find someone that wants to go. Short runs but still challenging.
Not sure if it was luck or boredom, helped form a group in 1981 to get licensing for Massage Operators for the state, a PT joined and opened the first sport injury centers on the west coast. Learned a lot from him like "Jogging isn't for everyone" (tyvm, I find it boring) but lifting/building and running around like an un-spun top all the time keeps me up to snuff and it fits my body build. Have been lucky with dense bones and never broken one though my right knee cap will pop out of place and I just move it back which grosses some ppl out  Doc says there is no reason for surgy (yet) so I just deal with it.
I'd be a bit better with no issues if a drunk asshat hadn't hit me head on when I was 18 which caused massive internal damage. After shooting past surgery #45 I stopped counting though I'm still UW & Swedish favorite "first survival case" so I get really good care regardless of insurance.
Surgeons and speciallists have to deal with my demented sense of humor o_O

Toyota don't make one yet but Fords Maverick hybrid gets close to same fuel mileage as Toyotas rav4 hybrid. 2022 model year is sold out.

Today I'll change an exterior garage lights motion sensor. Bought a spare 30 years ago when we built this place, and I installed the original. Surprised it lasted this long. Hell, I'm surprised I lasted this long.
