Nice looking plate dinner. All this talk about Bison makes me want to cook a Bison Ribeye I have in the freezer.

Today is my weekly music lesson and leftover Pork Butt for dinner. Going to call a contractor to get an estimate to put together a Costco Pavillion. I do not work on ladders anymore.

Now, that stuff there is hilarious!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! I'm set; 4.26" when it was all done. Damage patrol found plastic filter mesh in the big tube rain gauge broken, floating chlorinator top broken, yard art gecko blown off the fence, and a windsock came untied, and was found in the field out back. I'll take that. Confirmation of the two possible tornados showed it was one, and that it was the one that was "by the airport". Seguin to Stairtown (Caldwell Co.): EF-1 with winds of 110 mph, track length of 7.5 miles. Stairtown is about 5 miles S/SE of our airport. So, close enough!

Good Morning Folks. Sitting at the dealership getting the Tacoma inspected and noticed this in the showroom. 20220323_090129.jpg 20220323_090103.jpg 20220323_090049.jpg

They also had a 2018 SR5 Tacoma on the lot with 61+ plus miles for $34999. They sure do hold their value....

Glad you are safe and okay Kurt. The tornadoes have been playing havoc in Texas.

They are actually a rarity this far South in Texas. Couple a year. Tornado Alley used to start just South of Dallas, and be a line N/NE up through the midwest. Just read yesterday about how that number is increasing throughout the SE part of the US. That's a trend that can stop any time!!

    Mmmmm gotta research.
Don’t remember if I worked on this one. We owned just about everyone that came in to the
    US. Some more than once.

    Nice!!

Been awhile since posting here. Just a massive amount of projects and such. Yesterday I added 11 more trees (all Grand Firs) to my effort to turn my pasture area back into forest area. Have planted 50+ trees so far.

Dang tornados are a midwest hazard I'm glad we avoid down here in AZ. Glad to hear it passed you by! My son lives right in tornado alley (Cushing, OK) and my sister in Nixa, MO - and I hate seeing their local warnings show up on the weather networks. A Missouri friend told me he uses an old sleeping bag and HF tiedowns as his emergency "hail garage" - must work about the same........

Fans of Bison meat should have a look at the site for the Durham Bison Ranch near Wright, Wyoming. A memorable "roadhazard" on Wyoming hwy 59 (40 years ago now)- they would lay down the fence by "herd pressure" (hundreds leaning on the same stretch of wire) and get on the road - headed across toward South Dakota. They would then mix with oil rig crews, coal miners, construction workers and other passers-by. Terrifying for people in little cars.... The ranch used to have some of the most offroad armored, battle damaged F-250 pick-ups you'll ever see - if the critters take a dislike to you and your vehicle, a serious hammering is possible.

Finally got my pepper plants in the ground this weekend. They seem to be the only crop I'm able to keep alive in the desert.

FINALLY... the guys showed up last night to prep the pole barn for pouring the floor. I had to clear it out of all the construction accumulation and dig an electrical conduit into the floor before they came, but was ready. One of the guys is a local building inspector. They spent a couple hours leveling the gravel and then they walked all over it chalking a line around the bottom boards and laying the wire mesh. :goingcrazy::goingcrazy:

Pouring on Friday. Weather looks spectacular Friday and for three days after so we should get a great cure.

I can't believe I will finally have a place to do all my projects in one place. Building, welding, guitar practice, and fine art... and maybe the occasional shot of tequila. I haven't had a shop since selling the ranch and this one won't be 40X80, but it will be set up to be of more use. Like a drive in living room with tools.

Potatoes in and sprouting. Seeds for collards, kale and arugula in the raised bed. I have 7 more beds to build and fill.

Peppers are a mere future dream. Hahahahaha

Got tomato starts coming up like crazy! Carrots, cuc, stringers, watermelon (first year in decades on those), swiss chard...haven't gotten to the rest of the root crops yet but hopefully this weekend holds out well enough to finish raised container growing and 1 small bed.
Some years I've had luck with peppers and others not so much, last year was stellar for them obviously.
Need to get the fruit trees pruned!

Down on Camano Island right now, not sure if I'm headed back to Sequim next month or hang here.

Nice. we need to get our starts going.

Been so wet, no fun mucking in certain spots.

I planted 2 apricot, asian pears, plums, prunes, 3 fig trees, blueberries, honey berries.......yeah I'm nuts. This after planting tons of doug firs, incense cedar, red cedars, hemlocks, grand firs..........I swore I would never dog another hole and then our native trees and shrubs came in from the salmon enhancement sale. Yikes. Mostly small shrubs, easier to plant.
