    ‘Morning all :hattip:

Have you looked at hybrid hot water heaters? We went from a traditional electric to a hybrid and shaved about $70 a month off our electric bills. That plus the rebate at the time paid for it within a year.

Google hybrid water heater rebates (your state) or enter your zip here:
    https://www.energystar.gov/products/heat_pump_water_heaters

    Good luck!

Metal prices have gotten stupid in the last year or so.

When metal goes up so does scrap -- puts old iron at risk.

I bought one of them high quality 5x8 trailers from Lowe's 3 years ago for $650, looked at them the other day and they were $1,050.

High quality from Lowe's = paint still sticky, step on one corner the other corner raises due to flex

2005 I lucked out and bought a trailer for $250.00
I happened to stop at local O'REILLY auto parts and mentioned to the young fellow working there that I was on my way to Orschelin to buy a trailer. He said he had one for sale. Done deal, it had at that time he said $600.00 worth of aluminum diamond plate on it. I modified it some and made the large aluminum box on it smaller, moved the two angle iron to the edge and made side boards for it. He had the two angles up the middle to hold his dirt squirts...and large box for maintenance goods etc.
I've put two tires on and service the bearing is all.

Looks like my power company is offering a $500 credit. Instantly if I buy one at a participating retailer. Well damn, that makes the cost less than a regular one!

Driving to my youngest's appointment this morning I was in the middle lane on the interstate and an Explorer decided they wanted to share it with me.

Evasive maneuver, horn honking and dirty looks aplenty.

Pretty sure even after all that they still didn't know I was there since they just kept coming over.

    Great start to the day!

At my way back job we shutdown twice a year for major maintenance, the production people would clean and paint things.

The building was the usual industrial style with steel I beam supports going to the rafters every so many feet. Two young fellows were tasked with painting all the I beams in the department.

The company purchased good epoxy paint that had to be activated to harden --
    they didn't know this --
they were uncommonly good workers and painted a $#!t ton of beams, unfortunately...

Years later you would occasionally touch a beam and come away with wet paint despite the massive cleanup effort that had followed.

Food at the house is getting scarce. Wife said she's not going to buy any more food because it's too expensive :pout:

I usually make my breakfast to take into work, omelet with cheese and lil smokies or ham etc.
These were in the freezer because my son eats them sometimes. When people say process food is bad for you, there should be a picture of these for example.
Wife did really say that about buying groceries but just being sarcastic. We do need to shop soon.20220323_090034.jpg

They're pretty good actually. About 40 seconds in the microwave (each). Jimmy Dean possibly? I didn't look at the box closely.

We have those but on a biscuit. Jimmy Dean, 33 seconds and done! (if not frozen). They are pretty good.

I better get back to work, the welding coordinator coming to have a look. This guy a dandy; went to make up a bunch of weld leads but didn't remove the insulation from the cable. Perfect! We'll promote him from welder dude to welding coordinator.

Just sent pictures and VIN to the Chebby dealer we bought our Suburban from to see what they'll give us for it. 2019 with 19K miles. He text back and ask how much gas was in it
