Did you happen to put any sort of sealer on your truck? Something similar happened to me.....I think I had some of the sealer residue in the rag I was using to clean the windows. Ended up switching to paper towels and I was able to get it off with some elbow grease.

Like Allan, I also installed the oem Toyota lock kit and I love it in combination with my tonneau. The install can be a little annoying, but definitely worth it in my opinion. Honestly can't believe we don't get a power locking tailgate from the factory, at least on the upper trims.

Did you install all the leafs provided? It looks like you did, if so that’s option 3. Option 2 is replacing the third from the top with the extra one that’s included.

I installed the Runnin4Tacos kit. I think the only major difference is how loud it is.

Why the hell not? Because since 2019 the engine has both port and direct injectors so at low speed the intake valves are getting washed with fuel and no longer coke up making the removal of oil mist through the PCV system unnecessary.

It doesn't adversely impact performance, it looks cool, and it gives the fuel less schmutz to wash off. So, I'm with the OP on the question of "why the hell not?"

I use them same setup currently. Are you planning on bolting those tonneau adapters down? I'd recommend it as it is able to slide a bit if you're just relying on the tonneau rails to hold it.

Not OP, but have Clazzios. My install went pretty smooth, left them in the sun for a while beforehand. Watched a video about installing without removing the seats, which made it pretty simple. The headrests were by far the most frustrating part. I also only did the front seats.

Haha... This brings back memories. Back in the 80s, my dad did this on his '79 Ford F-150. Every knob in the truck (lights, wipers, & radio) had a beer bottle cap.

I currently do not have any plans to bolt into the bed. I pushed, pulled, and shook the shit out of the rack and only the truck body moved which was a good sign to me. I also haven’t tested with the tent on top yet. I’ll keep assessing as I go but I appreciate the input.

At long last I got my Avid bumper guard today! Hopefully I can do the install this weekend. Did a quick test fit to see how it will look
