Brrrr! back to making fires in the woodstove. It was a nice 4 day break.

 

Sleep Creek mountain has been on fire since yesterday. I could smell the smoke and see the orange glare on my way to work this morning.

 

ah crud! i dont know the area but hope it doesn't affect you and gets under control soon!

 

I saw on twitter that they had MoCo and Frederick units responding, but now that I look at a map maybe it was Frederick County VA?

Hey Chuck @crazyfingers, ran all the trail around Flag Pole, and Meadow Knob, no nails!
Rob @RobP62 hope your hanging in there, and some of the pain is subsiding!

 

We definitely enjoyed it, on the top if a hill and fairly open, but enough trees for tying out the dogs and setting up hammocks. Plus decently strong reception so my wife didn't kill me.

 

Is there a possibility its a controlled burn. MD Dnr usually does at least one at Soldiers this time a year.

That’s good to know as there were a few of us it’s been a little hesitant about going up there. We are pretty much were under the impression that it was probably a one-off incident maybe some nails fell off the back of somebody’s truck. Thanks for the heads up.

Nice score! I sometimes regret selling the cap off of my Taco. After using the RTT last year at Dave's cabin, I decided that a bed cap would be a much better way of doing truck camping. If you still want a spare wheel, I will sell let go of one of my extras.

 

Good morning everyone! Started P/T, and yup, it's dumb as I remembered the last two times. Oh well.

Been busy af, trying to prepare for outdoor chores, bla bla bla. I even did my yearly garage cleaning.

Unclogged my toilet. I need to slow down on the fiber I guess. I think it's time for a pressurized model. Started to get into replacing two bathroom ceiling light/exhaust fixtures. Moving a wool rug from the family room to the living room.

I discovered a serious roof issue I need to move to the top of the 'to-do' list. Fawk!

I'm working on a front gate wireless doorbell setup. I'll post up a pic when it's done.

Then there's the P80 Brace paint job. Today is base coat paint day!!! My stencils arrived so hopefully it will be done in a week or two. I want to add the glass breaker but it's freaking 50 bucks! It will be better to have it before painting though. It will be harder to make it match later. So we'll see.

Then there's everything else inbetween with the dogs.

Naturally, according to the doctor and therapist, I am not supposed to be doing anything but simple P/T. The wife knows it and is furious with my attitude. So I am try to stay out of her sight, unless it's simple stuff.

It's not going well.

Anyway, we're all caught up with me now. Back to the carpet. LOLOLOLOL
