    Kinda random, but I saw in a different thread that you made your own antenna mount for on top of your roof rack. How'd that been working out? I'm looking to do the same thing here soon with my get my Midland radio.

    Works super well! Just used the metal backer plate out of the ARB air compressor kit and some spray paint, but any small steel plate should do. Supports my Diamond HAM antenna which is also stout, but the combo survived cleaving a starling in half at freeway speeds a few months ago. :rofl:
