I've got 4-5 huge coffee creamer containers of Toyota and Nissan hardware from projects, junkyard, scrapped trucks. And when I need clean new stuff or super specialty things I get them from Tacoma Screw or Belmetric

Okay thanks, I couldn't remember. I'd been looking more into the adaptive suspension and wondered if yours had it.
I ended up emailing my rep this morning and having it removed from the build since I'd added it, (hopefully its not locked in yet) Just seems like more of a pain versus what you gain, especially when/if I want to put Koni/Bilstein etc on it later then you have to remove it all and then code out the errors that'll throw.

after working on enough trucks you end up with a bucket like this in your storage.

I take a plastic tub (Talenti jars work great after you eat the gelato out of them) to fill with small parts every time I go to the junkyard. They rarely charge anything (as long as you're buying other stuff), and if they do it's only a dollar or two.

I'll visit Ace Hardware in a pinch--I like that they sell loose parts rather than the plastic-bagged stuff that Lowes and Home Depot have. It's worth price shopping on those, though--sometimes it's much cheaper to buy a package than to buy a few single parts.

The magic thing about BMW/Mini is that the DME can be coded however you want. They all use the same computer for an engine and their suspension/telemetry modules can be coded too. But yeah it's easier to just go without it. My buddy's M3 obviously has it and while it is amazing in what it can do, it has a lifespan and I wouldn't want to replace one of those dampers. My 1 series didn't have it and it was still excellent with my Bilstein B8

This year, I plan to start camping. It gives flexibility on the trail and saves time and money to keep from driving back to civilization to stay in a hotel.

I'm considering a one-person tent or a big foam pad to stretch out on one side of the 100 on the rear storage unit. The one-person tent can be placed on a cot.

Or a folding mattress and sleep in the back of the 100.

Have you looked at tent cots, they make a nice all in one that folds up easy and small. I had one for a minute before my roof tent

Nice, thanks. I didn't know about that bit of magic re the coding.
I agree, though it seems like a great thing to switch on for crap roads, I don't love things (especially wear items) with a lifespan and its also tied into the wiring/other systems. Good to hear the Bilsteins were nice too. Rather be able to swap things as normal, keep it simple. (The S I test drove didn't have it and it was fine. I think the old harsh ride comments are for the older gens.)

Kodiak makes a really nice canvas tent. I had a truck bed tent from them for my 04 Dodge Ram and it was awesome.

I may look into some type of portable food warmer. When I'm on the trail, I like to eat light and travel fast.

I've always seen positive reviews of them from owners. Seems like the way to go for that style.

    I know it's a turd, but it's only $700!

(and yes, I saw the "don't buy a used supercharger without papers unless you're ready to spend $2-3k rebuilding it" advice folks were giving out the other day)
