Electric Lime Metallic Thread

Was sort of hoping it would be more like that. My wife wanted the lime rush 4runner but after seeing it, was too much yellow, liked the metallic black,which is actually more of a really dark blue. Actually thinking maybe I should do the same. I did see a black pro and it was really nice. I saw one of those green kia souls this weekend and it was horrible. This ELM truck as Seinfeld said is a 2 facer .

 

Hopefully only 2 and a bit more weeks for mine. Dealer said it’s still eta Apr4-9

 

Mine allegedly arrives Friday, but Days on Lot indicated -7 last Friday but did not update yesterday still -7...I can't even...Let's hope I get an update today. Still shows 7 miles on my Toyota App. We shall see.

 

OK dealer in town had an EL that was sold but I wanted to see the color in person since mine will be here soon. It's really cool in person. I went to take a picture and it was more yellowish when I looked at the picture so I can see why I was a bit Kia Soul deceived.

Hey there is an EL available in Colorado. Not sure if they sell out of state. I also don't know what they are charging if anything above msrp.


They also have a white manual pro. Both vspecs attached.

Are these already built or allocated? If they aren’t built that would disprove some of the rumors of Toyota suspending producing for 90 days on Tacomas

 

I stopped by a dealer today and they said they weren’t getting anything for 60 days. Another dealer told me they got their allocation list and it is really short. This is on everything not just tacomas.

 

Ah bummer. I’ve been waiting for a manual pro for almost 6 months now with deposits at 3 dealers. Looks like I’ll be waiting even longer

 

Looks really nice. Did you do that yourself or have it professionally done? I priced it here and it was a little outrageous for what I wanted to spend.

 

I was pricing it out to have it professionally done. It cost $1000 - $2000. So I just did it myself. As long as you follow the steps, it really isn’t that bad. Took an entire weekend. But worth it.

 

What ceramic coating product did you choose?

 

Good question! There are a lot of good products. I had to do a lot of reading. I wanted something that lasted longer than a year, has been around for a while, and got good reviews from professionals. I went with CarPro CQ UK 3.0 and then used CarPro Glis as a topper. I almost went with Adam's Advance Graphene Ceramic coating because of their reputation and 7 year timeline, BUT it just came out in the last year. @JRuss505 I would love to chat with you some more about the ceramic coating and detailing stuff, I have dabbled a lot for the last 20 years or so just on my personal cars. When I decided to get a brand new 2022 last year after not being able to snag a 2021 I decided I was going to do everything I could myself after seeing the professional prices. Drop me a PM.

If your willing to pay 5k over sticker and/or trade that OR their is a unpurchased manual lime in Bountiful Utah

At this point with the recent product news. I'd seriously consider it (I am), if your dead set on q MT lime. It's not going to get an easier to find in June or July I'm not dead set on lime, would love magnetic Grey or black. Sooo for me 5k is steep.

 

Ah I’m in WA state so Utah is a bit further away.

I actually traded in my OR for a 22 Lunar Rock Sport M/T…I’m hoping it holds its trade in value since it’s a rare color/manual combo/fully loaded. I really wanted a pro since the 22’s were announced so I’m still going to try and get one unless they announce they won’t be producing any more with a manual transmission.

I’m first in line at three MSRP dealers in WA for any color except white (initially wanted lime but I’ll take what I can get) and all three of them have gotten only white M/T pros so far but I agree 5k is steep unless you REALLY REALLY want lime.

 

I plan on driving my manual lime maybe 1500/year I figure even if I over pay should get all my money back at least 5 years from now if not more. These along with the 4runner pros will become like the Fj cruisers selling for more than sticker years later. Last of the v6’s and a manual even better. Mix in a rare color and you are set

 

Check with Burien toyota outside Seattle. Last I knew they were msrp also
