Like the title says, I can only get air when I have the air force on full blast. It's not weak either, its pretty intense. Id like to enjoy more settings that aren't just off and hurricane force.

Welcome to the club. You need a new fan switch, pretty common issue on these trucks.

I got mine on flea bay. I tried to find you a link to the one I purchased but it's been so long it's no longer in my purchase history.

Sorry, I interpreted your title wrong. I thought you were expecting something else besides air to come out of your vents.

Yeah looks like an easy fix. Looks like it'll just cost me around 20 smackers and 5 mins of my day.

Before you buy anything, wiggle the resistor under the glove box. Mine did the same thing and periodically I would have to wiggle/have a passenger kick it and it would be fixed. Haven’t had to wiggle it in about 40K miles.

Resistor is more common to go bad than the switch, plenty of threads on here detailing both.

Sound like a bad blower resistor to me. When the switch is on full blast the resistor is bypassed and the blower runs at full tilt. Anything lower than that it runs through the resistor and if there's a break in it blower no worky.

its the blower resistor. Not the fan switch.

I had the exact same thing happen a few years ago. Only worked on high. New resistor and it works good as new.

pretty common issue on 2nd gens. There’s tons of threads about it on here.

It's probably not the fan switch itself, but the blower motor capacitor which has burnt out and needs replacement. I've had this same issue on many trucks.

It is likely that you will need to cut wires and patch together a new connection for the wire harness. You can tell if you need to do this because the connectors will smell and look burnt. Do not skip this step if your contacts on the connectors are burnt, as you will just burn out the new capacitor (ask me how I know...).

The OG OEM resistors on this truck were made in Slovakia and their quality is a testament to how damn long they last. The new OE/OEM replacements are all made in Mexico, look different than the original, but work very well.

Get your parts, grab a beer, watch this video, and get goin.

I pulled out the resistor and its burnt up. Im just gonna try replacing that since I think the switch is probably fine. The wiring harness has some crisp in a female connector so ill cut it off and replace that too since it comes with the resistor. Thanks guys I really appreciate the help. This forum is pretty dope

It won’t hurt to pull the plug on the blower and inspect it too. While not as common as the resistor, it’s been known to melt/burn too. You are already down there, it won’t hurt to have a look.

I mean the switch, the resistor, and the fan have all been known to burn the plugs. 90% of the time it is only the resistor plug.
