@Johnny77 - Could someone on your team dirty up one of these wheels and then time how long it takes to clean the wheel to like new condition? I luv the wheels but may dread cleaning them.

Here is a photo of my wheel on a '22 Trail Edition somewhat dirty from the weekends adventures. I've got some Chemical Guys cleaner and wheel brushes it usually takes a couple minutes for each wheel due to brake dust residue and cleaning out all the nooks and crannies and then when I dry the wheels I wrap a towel around my finger and get any place I've missed normally the valve stem pocket.

With the black wheels I could get lazy tho' never the less it's like anything if you want your truck to look nice when clean you have to put some effort into it. FYI these stock rims have a bit more "poke" than what I've seen on the TRD Sport or TRD Off Road wheels. If your really lazy you can get some SCS F5 Model wheels as those look pretty simple to clean.

As @Mr. Know-It-All mentioned above, I don't see it taking more than 5 minutes per wheel to clean.

When we actually get them in and mount them on our own trucks, I could give you a more exact answer.

But just as with most TRD Wheels, they have a bit more nooks and crannies than your average basic wheel design.

    Hope this helps

I’m definitely interested in theses! I just got the Trail grille for my truck and I’ve been chasing the bronze wheels. Just have to get cleared by “the boss” :D

Do the caps that come with these wheels look blank like the ones in the photo? Or will they be stamped with the Toyota name?

Sorry for the delay! Iv'e been out of the office for a few days.

Right now our lightest 16" Wheel is our Flow Forged 2020 Pro Style Wheels, which is 17.4 lbs.

The 2022 Style should be pretty close to that, but I won't know for sure until I have them here in the warehouse so I can weigh them with our industrial scale.

Not the same model, obviously but here's the T4R Pro F157 model in 16x8 w/265/75R16 so you can at least compare ratios. This is a FSW wheel I put on several months ago. fyi, that's not an FSW logo, it's from Empyre Offroad logo on the FSW center cap.

I've developed a bit of a confirmed theory that applies to wheels and cleaning speed. If you can get 2 fingers into the space of the voids, extra points if you can sneak in the third "shocker" finger, you can really whiz through the wiping process. First thing I did out of the box with my FSW's was ceramic treat them front and back. Let 'em cure and do it again. Wash time most grime blows right off with a stream of water. I hit them with the foam cannon of a ceramic friendly carwash like Armor All Ceramic Wash, then just rinse. They get the drying treatment with a good microfiber and if your fingers fit, you can blow through them real fast. My new KMC's on the RAV4 are that way due to the open spacing. I haven't had to scrub the wheels, yet. The only hands-on treatment is drying.

I learned after having a Subaru STI the wheels are a PITA to clean and the brake dust would get in every nook and cranny.

spray off the wheels to get the loose stuff off then while still wet hit it with some diluted simple green and a soft bristle wheel brush that gets the the next layer of dirt off. after that wash with a separate soapy wash mitt (not the same wash mitt for the body of the vehicle) and dig into the nooks and crannies and rinse. while drying off you can get any spaces you missed... in all you basically spent maybe 90 seconds on each wheel.

Later I solved my wheel cleaning issues with a set of six spoke Rays gram lights 57dr wheels :D

I am curious of what the price difference is between the Toyota factory wheels and these replicas? Not trying to stir the pot just wondering if the price is THAT much different.

In regards to the 16" these are a 16x8" wheel not 16x7". 0 offset compared to what +4 offset of the factory wheels. More so the application rather than price.

Thanks for posting your comment. I can't say exactly what the difference in price would be, but I do know that a lot of times when buying factory wheels you will also be paying extra for shipping. Our price, with free shipping, is still going to be lower than factory wheels + shipping in most cases, but the value in our wheels goes beyond being slightly less expensive. We offer more desirable specs that you won't find with the OEM Wheels, we offer light weight flow formed construction for a lighter/stronger wheel & we offer a better variety of finishes.

We actually took polls from Forum Members to see what they thought would be the best specs, and overall the 17x8.5, 0mm Offset has been the most popular. People also really seem to like the 16x8, 0mm Offset. Those sizes leave the wheels sitting flush with the fenders, giving it a more aggressive look than factory wheels without being over the top. It's a great fit and a great look.

You don't happen to have an oem trail ed center cap you can snap into the bronze wheel do you? Guess I'm just wondering if the bronze matches up if getting the oem caps....if that makes sense.
