If the negitive battery terminal is bonded in any way to the frame the switch will be carrying current.

There's a 7.5A fuse on the B-L line. The switch is good for 20A.

W-L is on the negitive side of coil of the relay. W-L goes to connector E5 pin 22 of your ECU. Pin FC.

Anybody know what FC stands for? I'm assuming "fuel relay coil"?

W-L would be my first choice to throw an interrupting switch to kill the fuel pump.

But my first choice would be to have a kill switch at the starter relay. Either pin 1 or 2.

Yeah most of the electrical stuffs on my truck are ground switched also. Just my little bit of experience but 12v switches seem to not crap out when you wire them on the ground/common side. I don't understand why, but the terminals don't seem to fault out like on the +pos side.

Where on the wiring diagram and in the truck is the starter relay?

This is page one of "Starting & Ignition". The other pages deal with control modules. I don't see a "Starter relay".

I'm going to splice in a switch pin 2 (W-L wire) on the fuel pump relay. How do I hook up this switch?

    You need a lighted switch?

That switch is kind of a poor example. It's ideally meant for powering a light (led light source) while also giving you feedback by lighting up your switch to show you that your light is activated.

Did you want your killswitch to be killed unless you had a auxiliary power source on or off?

Yes, I want to use this switch. It'll be near the cigarette lighter. So, if I need auxiliary power I could tap in there.

It wouldn't be a good idea to be using either ground or power meant for the relay for your fuel pump to power anything else. At the very least up the fuse to the proper amperage. (It's only 18 ga wire, mind you). But If that's what your heart is set on, you should use a relay.

Use the B-W wire otherwise you have to wire that switch completely opposite of the wiring diagram you supplied for that switch.

Basically all your trying to do is interrupt the circuit for these variety of kill switches. Be it the B-L or B-W wire, the switch is only used to physically disconnect the wire/circuit.

My kill switch is a toggle. On/off. Two terminals. Works great. Nobody's stolen it yet.

TLDR: Cut B-W wire. Lengthen both ends of wire to reach switch location. With ignition on, check voltage on both ends of the cut wire. The wire with voltage goes to pin 2 of this particular switch. The other end of the lengthened (no voltage) B-W goes to pin 3. Pin 4 goes to ground/chassis.

Did you end doing the clutch cancel switch too with a hidden toggle switch?

there are 3 wires I believe to the clutch cancel switch,
If I put a toggle switch in-line do you know if that would work and what wire to tap in line with?

THIS is a brilliant idea. I don't know why that I didn't think of it considering everything in my house is on IoT devices.
I want to offer this suggestion. Take a look at Yolink devices from a company called Yosmart. I have lots of this stuff. It doesn't use WiFi. The hub ($22) connects to WiFi, but then everything connects to the hub. Sound normal, routine, right? But the range from the hub is 1,000 feet. You can park your truck down the street and it still will will work. Check it out on Amazon or Yosmart.com Good stuff.

I know this an older thread but rather than wiring in a switch, what about just using a brake lock on the clutch? This is what I do. It won’t completely stop a determined thief but it might delay them long enough to make them choose someone else’s car to steal. Just a thought.

Update: I got the Yolink Window Shake and Break sensor and installed it. Easy to adjust the sensitivity to get what I want. I wrapped it in blue tape, then painted it Oak to match the interior. I asked a friend to find something in the cab that didn't belong there. He looked twice and found nothing out of the ordinary. Its a cheap solution that really helps the security by its alerts and adds to my peace of mind. Recommend.
