Thank God for the auto stopping of the new trucks! It stops me for bridge shadows and cars that are turning out of my way. And has never been activated to avoid an actual impending collision.

    :angrygirl:

(This was to double R in terms of not being rear ended).

I've never seen the Statue of Liberty up close or Ellis Island, though I would love to! We might have to redo this trip with a little more planning and a lot more money.. :angrygirl:
My FJ's 10-11mpg is making me strongly consider riding the bike in 25 degree weather at 7am to work... like STRONGLY consider... STRONGLY

With the way things have been going economically, I'm very grateful that I stockpiled 20 gallons of gas when I did, otherwise I'd quite literally be walking to work.. Not fun at all.

Jebus, 10-11 MPG?!?!?! My F250 gassers weren't even that bad. What's wrong with it that you're that low? Even lifted, I would think you'd be in the 14-15 range.

Yeeeeeeeeeep! That's with over-inflated tires, low RPM and low load, and as much coasting as possible too.

IDK what's wrong with it, but it's really thirsty, has always been too. It's full-time AWD (because 6MT), and I do have full armor, bumpers, sliders, rack, drawers with tools and recovery gear, etc.. It just doesn't like me

I get 21-22 in my F-250 if I'm easy on it, but I'm still waiting to rebuild the transmission. I'm hoping we start on it next weekend  I need to quench my fuel thirst with some cherry flavored diesel.

Just what you'd save in fuel could pay for the tranny rebuild! I never thought the FJ would be that bad on fuel. I know it's aerodynamically retarded but damn...

I had to turn my Ford's collision alert to low for that reason. I'm not sure if it would stop me in a true emergency.

It had a tendency to panic if someone was merging to the right lane to get off the highway. Adaptive cruise does too. It's like it has a hard time differentiating those lanes in busy traffic.

I don't wanna even talk about the tranny rebuild! I've got over $3,000 worth of parts for that transmission just sitting in my office waiting for a tech to have some downtime to help me. While it is out, I'm replacing the turbo up pipes and collector (which I ported and polished as well), I got a 4" stainless turbo-back exhaust, and I got a 6.0 tranny cooler which is approx 3x larger than the stock 7.3 one!
You need to remember it doesn't have ALL of the information, just takes things at face value. If it thinks you're on a potential collision course, it will alert and then intervene if you don't change one of the variables in the scenario.
