What an absolute BITCH of an install :annoyed: but I got it done in a day. No less than 30 vocalized curse words thrown. Knuckle-busting factor 4.5/5
The hardest part was, well, the majority of the project, but getting the stock driver's side mount out was about an hour long endeavor.
If you're gonna self-install, tighten the engine block bolts first, then the bolt on the new mount through the polyurethane bushing, THEN tighten the mount bolts on the frame.
    Trust me.

Most definitely experiencing more 'harmonic resonance' aka 'vibration' while idling in drive. After putting 20-30 miles on it the vibration has settled a little. It was pretty rough the first mile or so while it warmed up and had me questioning my purchase and 5 hour install (no lift). Now it's completely tolerable. Definitely a bit more vibration, but it's nothing crazy.

The change in the drive - for the better - is definitely evident. Nothing major, but the truck does indeed feel a bit more crisp, or solid I would say. My truck is auto trans.

    Excellent quality mounts!

they will break in super nice over the next couple weeks or less. i have no complaints of NVH.

i wonder what they will do for you. could affect how hard your AT shifts maybe. on the MT the response coming from the motor would surprise anyone here. you wouldn't believe how much energy is absorbed by the crap OE mounts. unfortunately your torque converter is absorbing much of the good there, but i'm sure it will be a good benefit in the end. but truth be told, i'm amazed literally every drive how much these do for the MT trucks.

Took me like an hour or two to install these. Skill level and tools makes a big difference I guess. They weren't that bad.

You must have smaller hands than me, brother (and/or a lift)! Skill and tools not the issue - workspace and wiggle room was the hardest thing to accommodate. My hands are torn up!

But the more I drive it the more I am of the mind that the effort was well-worth it

I'm sure you feel it a good bit more on a MT but it's a most definitely noticeable improvement on my AT. A good buy!

Been getting some DMs about discounts and a Group Buy. Yes we can do that - see below.

$350 per kit if 5 people commit.
$300 per kit if 10 people commit.

    Plus $20 shipping.

Bulk sales (GB) allows me to buy in bulk from my suppliers and therefore I can lower the price a bit.

any owner actually interested in uncovering huge amounts of lost performance due to Toyota's config of the stock truck should jump on this. i have modded everything, and this is one of the strongest performance upgrades I've done on my truck. tied for second with custom exhaust, custom tuning is first. that's saying a lot. not to mention these will ensure a longer life for your frame (not to mention the stock mounts, of course).

if you're considering these, just do it. no downsides. keep in mind my truck is a MT, so i can't comment on AT performance enhancement from experience.

While the truck definitely has a bit more vibration at idle, the benefits strongly overshadow that. The truck seems more snappy and solid. I have so many performance mods that affect throttle and torque that it's hard to say just what is coming from the mounts. I most definitely noticed a difference and I drive an AT. If a little more vibration at idle won't get your britches in a bind, then get a set of these on your truck.

i added these when they were first available, and the install came after plenty of other work, including ongoing engine tuning, full front and rear suspension and reinforced pivots & hangers, endless suspension tuning... the one thing i couldn't get clear and strong enough was torque interaction with the engine to chassis, and i drive my truck primarily though throttle control so this was a thing for me. i put everything into setting my truck up with oversized go kart handling, and this was the one thing i needed and couldn't get enough of. this is why i continue to refer to these as a performance as well as a longevity upgrade. they have done more to pull my truck's function & form together than any other mod hands down. I also live to drive an oversized go kart, apparently. but the power this truck puts down with my setup is continually pretty amazing to me, and these mounts were the key to getting it all to work together. couldn't be happier with these, about 25k in.

This looks very interesting and gets my wheels turning about if I should do this and when. Makes total sense, but from a practical perspective, do we have any reports of folks breaking motor mounts with hard off roading? I haven't really seen any but I may have missed them.

Also, how bad is the increase in NVH? I know it is subjective but that does really concern me.

    Thanks in advance!

with the 3.5 NVH is minimal and no problem at all, as you'd expect with a small motor. in a good way i can feel all cylinders firing, but no harshness at all. I'm in DFW and anyone is welcome to check them out in person.

I'm interested in the increase in motor responsiveness mpgs and overall performance.

I as well. How many mods with no added weight and no mpg loss can improve performance? There must be a way to measure the improvement somehow. Maybe 1/4 mile time?

I'm rolling 5400+ lbs without gear loaded up. I have stock gearing and have 315/75/16s. I was rolling with OTT 7.0 tune , which is a great tune. I was getting close to stock mpgs. Now I'm rolling with kdmax pro+XT and getting stock mpgs with my eyes closed . I easily hit a 100mph without any issues . Now if the motor mounts can give me more advantage on uphill steep grades I definitely will be adding this mod. If I get better mpgs from it that will be a mega plus. I have a slough of other mods for performance, aka snake oil . Which I find that guys on here get so offended about for example throttle body spacers. Well the snake oil works for me . I run premium fuel to get my mpgs . One other mod I would like is performance catted dump tubes .
