Good thing it didn't hit the tank! There is a dashcam video from Russia (I think), where some random guy's dashcam catches a septic truck just boiling over and exploding while the truck is sitting in rush hour traffic!

 

Yup, but I didn't get to drive it due to a family argument (between Gwyn and her son) that resulted in a deal not being made; I talked the guy down to $850, and the truck ran great, but it looks like the guy coming to look tomorrow is gonna get it. This is a truck that even you would approve of for your ex's kid, and it even has a clear title! The thing ran like a top!

 

It's a shame there was some arguing going on as it sounds like it could have been a decent deal. l definitely would have been in favor of that over the junk he normally chooses.

 

I would have bought it if I didn't already Tacoma, plus I knew more about this truck than the guy selling it! It's a rare one! Regular cab long bed 2WD with the Tahoe trim, which in itself is not uncommon, and A/C as well which is also not uncommon even in 1992-1993, but it has power windows, power locks, cruise control, and tilt steering! The cruise control was not operational, but the heat certainly worked! It even has a Pioneer stereo with USB!

 

I love my Tacoma, but I've always had a serious soft spot for 1st Gen (1982-1993) S-series trucks!

I think this truck is most desirable for its options; Most of the newer "loaded" 1st Gen S-10s I've seen have been extended cabs; I've seen regular cab S-10s with the Tahoe trim, A/C, and the tilt wheel/intermittent wiper package, but not many regular cabs have power windows and locks! Short beds are also much more common than long beds!

 

Insurance, cost me my $500 but it was close to $4k between the bed and panel. Didn't make my rate go up since it was parked.

You should have grabbed that either way, looks like a deal and a good project or flip. Buddy of mine had a 89 Blazer with the same interior

 

I don't have any place to put the damn thing!
