I should have mentioned I was referring to shady salesmen here in southern California. It's a culture around here to bend every last person over possible. I know there are good honest dealers in other parts of the country.

Lets just agree to keep fighting the good fight with carsalesmen and it might one day counterbalance the people that show up on a lot and just go "well I've got 47k negative equity in this BUT I dont really like silver so can u squeeze me into that model? 8 years? Sure. I've got $321 from my back taxes left. Is that good? Sweet. Detail it up.

I love it when they double, triple team you and the old, I need to bring your offer to the man behind the curtain

Never has the phrase “caveat emptor” been so appropriate.

I thought walking out is a given :anonymous:
Last car we bought was a outback, dealership we went to was trying to steer us to a used, for same price as a new. We sat there for a couple hr test drove 4 different cars and, they couldn’t make a deal with trade in. Called another dealer in tampa (big city for me) told her what I wanted and what we where trading and how much we wanted for the trade and she called me back in 1/2 while we were driving home, asked if we can sign papers at 5. Was the best sale ever. Also already had financing done at local bank for way less then at dealership. always do this and not tell them till the end you already have financing secured and then you want to do a down payment , they always get mad

    Good morning friends!

My wife and I walked out of a dealer once, we were within $400 and the manager came over and wrote a price on a piece of paper and circled it about 4 times and said “this is what it’s going to take”. We looked at each other, got up and walked out. They called the next day and said they would sell it for what we wanted. We said nah, we already bought one, and we had.

The guy I was dealing with yesterday is the floor manager and the guy I got my Tacoma from, I traded my 1st gen on it and he worked with me to what I wanted. I don’t know what happened to him yesterday but I’m done with him :D

The parts I messed up Monday are now done. They must have hired a new welder, these don’t look as good as they usually do coming from them.

We have a couple stray cats around that beat up on our old cat outside and eat her food at night. I caught one last night, he has the loudest purr I’ve ever heard o_O

Or people that kick valve handles! I've already got my Thorogood order planned for when my allotment window opens back up.

I think it may have had something to do with being a Toyota at a Chevy dealer.
Just my experience from shopping some time back and looking at a used Rav4 for my daughter. The car at that time was a few grand less than any other comparable at Toyota dealers.

I'm probably not too far off of needing new boots, too. Must be something in the water. :p

I ordered a new pair of Redwing boots last week.
The soles and shell of my current ones are still decent but it seems the interior support goes bad.

I was mentioning awhile back how pleased I've been with my DD Impala. 2012 just turned 180k miles and it just now developed a exhaust leak.

Haha, I can achieve a decent edge on a blade but may not be the cut myself razor sharp.

Are you talking about the footbed? Or the midsole?
