Nice! But don’t get too happy. Most likely a trunk fiber and they would still have to run feeder (fibers) as well off it. I’m curious as to the fiber count in that roll, it has the count and footage numbers on it (should).

Not to be a Debbie downer…. But I’d say a minimum a year before you could get hooked up. If before that, they are a rolling. Lotsa other stuff has to happen first.

Either way, this gives me hope of getting outta here and to the hills in the possible future.

I would definitely expect a span of time before Chris is welcomed to the 21st century. Until then he can plan out his extensive WiFi network to cover the full property!

Agreed. I'm happy as hell for them and everyone else out there. The Fed. Gov't is throwing out huge monies in grants (along with State) to anyone who will pick up the ball and roll with it to provide Broadband to areas that would have never been able to get it. From what little I've read on it last year. Once a company gets the grant monies, they have 5 years to provide service to the area.

Nice. Looking at the numerics on it. There is still about 3600 feet on that roll. and it’s a 96 count fiber. So that said…. Could be a trunk run or a feeder run with out knowing the architecture/setup they are using. I will stand by my 1 year guess, as I’m guessing. :D

You do have hope's though. It’s on the way.

Yes, a 20 hour brisket too good to not get, plus sausage, mustard potato salad and baked beans...not to mention I picked up 3 vac sealed pounds that are shipping next day AM air thanks to my project team down here.

I never heard back from you on the proofing of all those quality documents and forms:rofl:so I figured I'd leave you be, you know Dave doing Dave Things...

I got through this management offices initial ISO 9001 certification audit, only one nonconformity finding (super simple corrective action), so I should have this project wrapped up before the end of the month.

Now back to whether or not Chris got permission to use that roller and tracked-tractor for the trails and obstacle build/repair weekend!

I don’t know if this helps your un standing of what faze its in, but they are running it to boxes on power lines in “town” and to green cable boxes in front of each house they pass.

The tracked tractor has a 5ish foot trenching saw on the back, that if we could turn horizontally would make for fast tree clearing

I wouldn’t be surprised if they stub up a little section out of the ground right there and keep moving. If that happens, it would be your tie in point for service.

I'll take it with or without said trenching saw. My life needs more tracked vehicles.
