Not sure if the AC has enough length...

Lower the back of the seats all the way; catch a hammock rope in the door near the pax side A-pillar; catch the other end of the hammock rope in door at the very rear dvr side (so that the hammock is diagonal thru the cab); sleep suspended off of the seats and under cover.

I have seen this technique work in Scotland with 4-door vehicles of all sizes. Not my first choice but always kept it in mind for when in dire straits.

Man that seems crazy tight but I guess as long as you aren't touching stuff inside what's the difference between a mm of distance from something or a meter...

5'9" You do have to curl up a bit, but it's finebecause I only stop exploring and driving at night, when it's just too dark and iffy. I stop in a campground, or dispersed site, set up a fire, eat something, go to sleep for a few hours, and get driving again. My wife doesn't like the non-stop pace, so I go solo.

If you kinda fit, it saves all kinds of time because you have no tent to worry about. You just need a flat platform.

I like the shape and structural strength look to those spindles!

But not the height. Will have to see if they are available in shorter lengths. Thanks for posting them and their brand.

I am unaware if they're even available for 4wd. His truck is RWD.

Not exactly... They claimed it would match, and it is pretty close, but certainly not exactly. The picture makes it look like it matches a bit more that IRL. I have had people tell me that "wow, perfect match". But its not... The paint from ARE seems to be really good and I like the DCU topper a lot. I would do the same thing over.

I see a good number or SR5 Tacomas that also have the TRD Off-Road sticker on the bedside.
    Is this a real thing?

I removed the headrest so I could slide back further and still put it all the way down, but all stock. I'm 5'6", so I had plenty of room. I'm not sure I can recommend this for folks 6' tall and over....haha

Currently trying to pick my next Toyota!
Hey guys. Random request, could someone with a 2016-2018 SR with stock suspension look at the Hitachi shock part numbers on the front and rear and post them up? I'd be super thankful! I had a 2018 SR DC 4x4 that rode great. It had soft riding suspension, which I loved. I now have a 2022 SR DC 4x4 that rides pretty firm, in comparison. It's not awful but I miss the ride of my 2018 and would like to compare the actual part numbers off of the shocks, old vs new, and see if they're changed. I've looked online but would rather get the actual numbers off of an older truck. If I can verify they are different, I might search from some lightly used take-offs. Thanks again in advance guys!

Also, still dealing with the 30-20 mph vibrations that are very common and tire balancing! Need to get this all sorted out.
