Not so much the what I did to the truck but I got my HAM operators license today! Now I get to justify a new ham radio for the truck!

Don't stop there. Get your General as well so you can legally talk around the world on the radio. Extra class is another whole ball game though. Way more questions asked and a much larger question pool. But the General isn't much harder than the tech license was. Many do both and pass the same day, I waited 2 months between all of mine. I actually got addicted to taking practice exams!

Both look good. I was staying with grey since I have cement.

So the actual lens is clear, but the inside is black? So doesn’t it still have a dark look to them when they are off. Yeah I didn’t like how the “noodles” was grey/white on the other models.

So this is for when you go offroading? Wouldn’t it be better to have those walk-in talkie style that multiple people can be on a channel with

Ah ok. it’s nice to see actual pictures, but their website photos are rendered and don’t really show you much. So if I wanted to have a darker taillights you think I should get the other ones?

I would go with the white it will compliment the truck better. Unless ur going black on grey with wheels then black would look awesome.

Yeah I’m pretty much doing grey with blacked out accessories. Wheels I will probably do gunmetal from scs if I can grab them when I’m ready. I did see these but no idea on the quality

Ya plan is to take general next month! I’m excited to take the radio game up a notch with all the backcountry travel I do. Never have cell service. Been making a list of repeaters along my adventure routes. It’s fun..

It came with a magnetic antenna and mount. Not sure if it can be used with a hard mounted antenna. Pretty sure it could.

Yes it is. We are planning on going to some larger off road parks this summer and they apparently require a CB radio in the vehicles. So we figured just get those.

@Foushee this is what I mentioned about the radio just touching my right leg.

I SEEN THOSE AROUND, THEY ARE AWSOME JUST KEEP IN MIND THEY ARE BLACKED OUT SO ITS HAR TO SEE THEM WHEN THE SUN IS DIRECTLY HITTING THEM. I WOULD GO WITH ALPHAREX ALPHA BLACK BECAUSE OF THE CLEAR LENSE.

EDIT FYI SOLD stop asking me about it lol...

Heh not necessarily “what have I done…” but more like “holy hell lookie what I found” while cleaning out my rummage drawer…a MESO Customs red TRD branded Taco start button lol back in the day I must have bought one as an extra because last time I looked I already had one on my Taco.

Since I’m assuming Toyota told people who make these to cease and desist with putting on anything TRD, this should be quite a upgrade for someone who doesn’t have one yet…
