How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Was just told my truck was being picked up by transit. So, hopefully today or tomorrow at dealers.

I just got a Barcelona DCLB as I have had both Access cabs and DCSBs in the past. I didn’t find the the short bed very useful for my needs. So far I have no regrets with the LB. It isn’t really a problem parking in town and my hard core off road days are behind me. For my hunting, fishing and camping it will be perfect for my needs.

 

In the beginning of March, an eta finally showed up on the vspec for me and it was 3/28-4/2. March 8th the app showed 4 miles and fuel reading and there hasnt been any updates since then. This morning the vspec sheet still 3/28-4/2, no new updates on the app. I just checked the app and vspec again... no update in the app, but the vspec doesn't show an eta anymore. I called my salesman and it's in transit and was put on a train or boat 2 weeks ago and just hasn't made it to the port yet and his last update was 3/28-4/2 but currently not showing an eta for him either

Anyone have this happen to them and still recieve their truck in the initial eta window? I sold my truck already since I'm not going back to work until 4/6, and will have to figure something out if the truck doesn't come before then

 

How long did it take for your allocation to be "approved"?

 

I don't really know. I sat down with the dealer on 2/9, called to check in about a week ago, and the only information he had was that "the order is confirmed with Toyota but haven't scheduled a build date". Then he called me yesterday saying they did have a 6MT TRD Pro coming in and I decided to take that instead of my allocation request for a 6MT OffRoad.

 

My truck was built 3-9. Initial arrival was 4/9- 4/14. Now he told me arrival is 4/3-4/8. The truck still isn't showing fuel,miles, or tire pressure. So I dunno.

 

Damn, I mean I'd rather see my eta go down than go up or disappear lol but that's still odd. My truck was built 1/25. I completely understand with everything going on its crazy and takes so much longer, but I wish there was some better communication to make up for the fact that we have to wait months for a vehicle now. It would be nice if there was am eta to the port, as well as a confirmation of each step of the process

 

I special ordered my last to vehicles from MINI, and their process is a million times better than Toyota. You get a VIN, and you can literally track every step of the process...production dates, where it is in the factory, what cargo ship its crossing the Atlantic on, all down to when it will arrive at the dealer. But MINI (BMW-owned) is also a much smaller volume manufacturer than Toyota, and doing special orders is just part of what they do, so to some extent the lack of detail and communication we're getting makes sense.

 

Same with my Bronco. Ford was incredible from start to finish, especially considering a global pandemic and a highly sought after new vehicle launch. The fact that people are hoping they even are able to get a truck close to what they want is wild.

 

My ETA keeps moving up every day, definitely not going to complain about that.

 

It just showed on dealers site !!!!! Not sure what that means but I'll take it.

i just talked to my dealer my truck is in san diego boarding a train to chicago then to indy were i go to pick it up at ed martin toyota .
2 weeks is what i was told.

Just got my call...22 OR DCLB in MGM to be here next week, or maybe Saturday. Can't wait.

2/17 met with dealer and put a deposit on the truck I wanted.

2/21 told the truck was being built.

 

Lot of people here getting their trucks. Sounds like theyre movin rigs finally

 

If we can just get some steady 6MT production!
