If you had a spare minute at some point, could you get a picture of how the RTT mounts to the rack? Like standing at the tailgate looking up at the bottom of the tent? I can just barely make it out in your picture there, looks like a standard rail and t-nut / bolt combo, but I havent been able to find any good pics. Im going to have to modify my rack a bit as well to get the height I need over the cab.

As per directions, just a bolt infront of and behind the cross bar. Place plate under that and bolt it up.

I chopped my prinsu down for more tent over the cab reach.

That basecamp - sweet addition to the Tacoma - lived in Concord for many years -
Is Diamond Sil's poker room still open... and the other joint across the street - lots of tales to tell about those places.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.

Nothing like camping out in the dealer's lot waiting for the best deal! ;-)

The Basecamp has yet to disappoint. The next stop from Alabama hills was Buckeye Hot Springs where we encountered about 6”-10” of residual snow on the road on the shady side of the mountain.

I don’t know about that poker room.

I'm in sales for Lexus and paid sticker for the truck... people gotta eat

Also, quick tip, the awnings brackets can be bolted directly to the underside of this tent. It's got 2 t slot channels for such a thing. I called ovs and they said it'll do fine. Mounting my 270lt to it today.

They are spendy - but nice inside.

I have not slept in one, so I can't talk from that point - but the windows/view are really nice. You're inside, but almost outside.

If your plans include off-road travel with the trailer, you might consider the X3 from Patriot Campers as well. Not as luxurious as the Basecamp, but a bit more rugged.

Nice views, but it's certainly a popular spot on weekends. However, it's entertaining overhearing folks that are first-time campers. Pure comedy gold!
