A stripped lower is an “other” and not considered a firearm, so no wait and no class needed.

That’s correct and when I learned this, it was great news. This applies to both long guns and handguns.

This is not accurate. FFL is required for a striped lower as it considered a firearm. regardless of if it comes with a trigger guard, etc. Maybe you're thinking of 80% lowers?

I mean "firearm" as in "complete firearm". I think it is technically an "other" which requires a transfer and NCIS check but does not require a wait or class

FFL transfer using a ATF Form 4473 is required for both a stripped lower and serialized handgun frame but there’s no waiting period, class, or extra paperwork from Olympia.

I ordered a three Aero lowers from Classic Firearms yesterday that are headed to a nearby FFL for transfer.

Ordered a complete upper separately that is coming directly to the casa. :D

I’m still upset some of the politicians in our State banned magazines over 10 rounds. I can’t stand when people blame inanimate objects instead of humans when bad stuff happens. I bought magazines for firearms I don’t even own yet but plan on acquiring in the future. Sorry, firearms related rant…

clock is ticking on that. WSP’s “point of contact” system is targeting a soft launch for July 2023 (some FFLs live to beta test system) and full implementation Jan 2024 for all FFLs. Frames and receivers will then be subject to “pistol” levels of paperwork/registration/waiting periods as per RCW 9.41.111

Hmm I heard ppl were waitin for lowers could have been something else or depending on the FFL but I get the "other" part. We're definitely approaching Cali level regulation, guess I better stock up on lube.

Better grab more 13 round mags. Ugh.

Stupid that one of these is fine and the other isn’t in July.
