This truck is for sale locally in my area...

    2007 Tacoma Double Cab SR5
    208k miles
    A/T
    4WD
    6" Lift
    20x10 Fuel Wheels
    35" Tires
    Step Bars
    Towing
    White ext - Tan int

    Price.....$20,000

    Would you pay $20k?

IMO its way over priced, but I'm sure someone will take the bait. People need to be realistic with these truck sales. Kinda like the housing market I guess.

Based on value tools its worth between $10k-13k.

    What do you guys think?

14k or so if its rust-free. the mods make it worth less than market, and on 35s, its been used harder than a stock taco.

Seller won't budge on price either. I've tried to make sensible offers.

I guess they will keep on driving it then.

    Look for a 2009+ truck.
    Preferably a 2013+ if I were looking.

It looks to be in GREAT condition. But that 6" lift with 208K would scare me away at even 13 or 14.

That 6 inch lift means the frame is missing a front crossmember

Is look for something a little more "down to earth" :rimshot:

I dont care for lifted trucks myself, If I were to buy it for a reasonable price, I'd have it returned to stock but I know that would cost a pretty penny.

You can't easily return that truck to stock due to the nature of the lift used. Hard pass.

Idk much about lifts, is the crossmember removed due to the height being 6" lift? Would it still be on the front of the truck if the lift were around 2-3"?

If he can sell that for 20k I'd easily take 20k for my 07 with 140,000 miles :D

Around here that's a pretty fair price in this current market - if it were stock or near stock. With that lift and those wheels I'm not sure it'd sell for that much here.

If that's exactly what you are looking for (lift, wheels, tires, etc) then maybe it's worth 15-16 to you because those are things you wouldn't have to do. Maaaybe. If that's not your exact jam, then hard pass. You should be able to find a stockish 09+ without all that crap with 150K or less for 18-20k easy. And probably less if you look for awhile.

The seller messaged me this morning saying someone is working up the cash to buy it at his asking price.... that person is not me. I'd only offer about $12k max

I bought my 2014 TRD OR w/ 110k for a little less than $20k last year. That 2007 is worth less than $15k IMO, especially since it has those mod's you'll have to unfuck to get the truck to perform like Toyota intended it to.

If you can wait a year I think you are likely to see very good used car prices. Once the squeeze the fed is putting on starts to take affect the used car market will be one of the first to react.
