That's a good point too, I didn't think of that. We run our house fan every evening after putting the kiddo down because it helps create white noise to drown out the old house sounds. Wouldn't be surprised if that's got something to do with it

yeah, I set the money aside for it already and it's been on the todo list since I moved here

I really struggle with adulting

 

Not sure tbh, it's a small house so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a smaller system. Every time it kicks on though it used to suck the filter up and drop it back down onto the grate like an angry troll was living in the ceiling, so I put velcro on the frame of the K&N filter we got lol.

 

Doing better than most if you’re planning ahead like that

 

How is the k&n filter?

Dropping $20-40/mo on filters sucks lol

 

I like it so far but I think I need to clean it more often given the air quality and springtime pollen, etc. The only downside is that after you clean it, it takes a little while to dry out so you can't just put it right back in and use it.

Just had the gutters replaced for the same reason. Knew it needed to be done when I bought the place but it took a while to actually get it done

A lifetime of ignoring problems and hoping they go away didn't work so i started trying to deal with them.. taking a loooong time to work through the backlog lol

Oh and @eon_blue i keep a spare paper filter for my truck to run while it's dry/ in case i flood the housing. Just an idea
