Carpet bed liner and Matt, fuel wheels KO 2 tires. Bilstein 6112,5160 frt. lift .white with black leather seats.
I hit head on with a van when turning in my 2019 TRD access cab sport 4X4 and did over 30 K damage to my truck. What i was wondering about is the lower dash air bag deployed and broke the plastic into sharp edges which cut both of my legs really bad, 9 staples in the left shin and caf. And has anyone had this problem. I wrote Toyota a letter about this and they responded and are looking into it.

Lawyer up on any injuries incurred by poor design BUT you must prove that.

I personally would have been fine with "any" air bag going off in mine.

Says the guy with subie in his name lol. But sure, go be a man and talk about how extra air bags are necessary... very manly conversation

If that’s the extent of your injuries, I’m glad it wasn’t worse.

    Good luck with your recovery.

Are you sure its the dash that shrapneled and not the airbag cartridge?

Remember, if no airbag your legs would/may probably been broken, or may have lost them.

Glad that was all that happened to you. I got rope burn from the seatbelt once. That really sucked.

if you are parting out can I take the bed bolts and the bolts that connect the hinge of the passenger side door? Mine are starting to show rust.

That’s Toyota safety sense. Part of the design is to chop your legs off so it’s easier for responding EMS to extricate you from the cab. Sounds like it didn’t work. Kidding, glad it wasn’t worse. I saw a Tbone crash a year or so ago (at fault driver blew a red light). Airbags going off looks unpleasant at best, pretty violent looking honestly.

You walked away from a bad accident and you complain about a cut?
I would be thanking that truck for saving me...

    Sorry OP, sad to see.

Also, that hood is probably smoked, deformed front to back, left to right
