I’m going to practice on some scrap steel first that’s about the same thickness.

I welded the new body/core support mounts on downward last year.

Considering front end. I've been strictly design/visual/photo for so long, but used to build sites (well over a decade ago though) and I've had the urge to jump in. Just figuring out where, I don't wanna go down tutorial rabbit holes

Just a thought, for any welders/DIYers out there.

If any of you have a simple project, but have no experience with any design software IE Autocad, solidworks, etc. feel free to share with me the idea.

I'd love to draw it out on Draftsight and provide said plans back to you, free.

Just want to play with it on my off time so I can get better acquainted with it. Don't want my only experience with it to be limited to school work.

can you make me a giant slingshot

I have a bunch of birdhouse plans I've drawn up for our backyard  although a metal birdhouse might not be all that appealing for the birds

    Super nice of you.
I was going to have a local build me a bed rack a while back and he wanted design files...which I didn't have. Just drawings and measurements. But if I axe the shell I might bug you haha.

Get hot as fuck out there

But no, it's not limited to metal as all you're looking at are 2D drawings.

Send me dimensions, and thickness of wood.

Will do, got a few of them at home. Thinking of doing like a dollhouse-style one for Sofia to paint up

Yeah for sure, could be fun!

One thing I love about it is when you're questioning the angle to cut on a piece, or length of said piece when cut/fitted, you can get the dimensions from the software as I draw it 1:1

Miguel wants a ladder rack, and really that'd be easy to do.

But he wants me to weld it, and do it at his place :bananadead:

Told him if he cut it all, I'll weld it together but if I'm building/cutting it, he'd have to come here.
