If I go that route I def remember that thanks. I know he wanted em to plug in for I assume bending and cutting, at the time I just wasn't prepared.

 

Some people, on Friday nights, go to bars to have drinks and maybe meet new people...others stay in and have a drink while downloading new Linux distros to test and shop for wheels for a vehicle they don't even have in their driveway yet.

MX vs Manjaro, both KDE....fight

 

Mmmmm. I run Manjaro on my work machine and my gaming desktop, it’s been pretty solid but there’s always a shitload of updates to keep up with.

MX seemed ok when I tried it, although the network permissions were weird.


KDE has always felt sluggish. XFCE or i3 for the win.

 

Yeah I thought I'd try KDE since its a newer machine and shouldn't be an issue. I'm pretty impressed with MX though, first time I've done a bootable trial and everything just worked, even wireless. I tried Manjaro with Gnome for the hell of it and its like a tablet OS, I can't get into it. I downloaded PopOS to try too.

Yeah modern gnome is wonky as hell, I hate it. They just tossed decades of UI familiarization right out the window for very little benefit.

I usually try stuff on a thinkpad, been a very long time since I had to muck with drivers.

Slackware 15.0 is out.

 

I used to really like Gnome way back, its a bummer they screwed it.
I'm testing these on a Macbook Air I retired that I was using for random stuff. I'm sure a Thinkpad would be better. (I tried a P1 in 2020, and I wanted to love it but the screen quality for print and graphic work wasn't great. I lovvvve their keyboards though and the i/o you get with them is so good. I should try another one)

Even though I have several Logitech G mouse/keyboards (in storage), bought this for temporary use on the laptop for Draftsight.



Never owned any Razer items. Corsair and Steel Series had several interesting options but this one fit best, and was on sale for $20 off before rewards.

 

My Logi MX Master 3 is my best computing friend but very curious to hear how that goes, never had any Razer gear either.

Never used a dedicated racing helmet, only my Shoei motorcycle helmet.
