i was almost part of the Trail Edition club. Ended up with a Sport instead which is actually better for me anyway since I do like 1% off road driving, compared to 99% on road...but still, i love the Trail Editions

Yeah it’s in CDN. Up here they are priced @2k more then an off road. But you can get a sport premium 6MT with leather and sunroof for about 1k less then a trail. Are pkgs are wierd up here

They will be very hard to import now that they are made in Mexico.

Yeah and even if it wasn't hard to import, the added cost would make it not worth it

It would be awesome to see the trifold tonneau cover you have. Photos will help.

Had to bring it in. Tech had trouble diagnosing the problem but it ended up being a bent pin in the connector. Must have happen during assembly. All good now.

    Still Pondering
Got my Lunar Rock Trail a few weeks ago and I am trying really hard not to do any mods to the suspension butttt has anyone thought about increasing the lift slightly with Bilstein 6112s? It comes with the 1.1 inch lift and I have seen some builds running 255 85 16 tires, just kind of considering my options. I am also considering going with a body armor hiline bumper with light bar and some fogs..not that I really need any of it, but it is really really hard not to want to personalize the taco.

OK gang, here we go. I grabbed some pics of my factory installed tonneau cover and hopefully this will explain how it attaches. It does not use the bed rails at all.

Pic1 shows the cover closed, one of the boxes open. There is about 4 inches of space between the top of the box and the cover.
    Pic1.jpg

Pic2 shows the little handle on the driver's side that you squeeze to open the cover. There is one on each section.
    Pic2.jpg

Pic3 shows the little pegs that the cover hooks into. There is one on each side for each section of the cover. This is probably what other covers are missing
    Pic3.jpg

Pic4 gives a better look at the open driver's side box and the distance between it and the cover (again, about 4")
    Pic4.jpg

Pic 5 is some sort of connector on the passenger side of the section closest to the cab
    Pic5.jpg

Pic6 is some sort of connector under the first section closest to the cab. This one is in the middle, above where the missing middle rail would be. You can see it in the first pic
    Pic6.jpg

I didn't grab a pic of it, but on the driver's side under the first section closest to the cab is another one of those peg connectors.

    Hope this helps!

For anyone else still waiting on your trail edition to come in, did your eta disappear? My dealer said there isn't an eta anymore and don't know why. I called another dealer with the same trail edition listed and they said it's being delayed and supposedly all trail editions are being held up for quality checks or something. Anyone else hear that?

I been reading it appears that is a chip shortage some plants are closing and there might be a shortage of 100,000 to 150,000 vehicles that won’t be built. It doesn’t say anything about the Trail Edition. It appears that is a global issue with the chips.

I got the exact same info from my dealer today. Held for inspection and there is no ETA anymore. It was built 2/4

I know what's going on with the shortage, but I've seen multiple trail editions that have already been built, but the etas disappeared

Mine was built 1/25, and I'm off from work until 4/6. Had the 3/28-4/2 eta for 3 weeks, so I sold my current truck since I got a great offer. Now I don't have a vehicle and no idea when my truck is coming lmao. Now im going to have to buy something cheap or rent a car :anonymous:
