I’ve been trying to convince my wife to get a Tacoma for years.

Last fall she said, “Let’s go look at them.” Only to follow that up with a smile….

Meanwhile, we just got something like the 4th recall notice for her POS Explorer’s rear toe link. (Yes, we got the work for the previous notices done…)

 

Did the bush hog come back from paint/powder and I missed it?

 

In 2001 we needed additional room for another child and wife was wanting or thinking X-Terra (yellow) and I liked Silverado extended cab. I suggested we drive the Tacoma double cab kind of a compromise. So her first Tacoma was 2001, now I don't think she'd ever consider anything else. She's had a 2011 lease and now her 2013 paid for. She said she driving that for the rest of her life.

 

Thinking like that is why you get paid the big bucks!

 

There's something to be said when you drive a vehicle for 10 years and near 200k miles and never leaves you broken down. That's given my wife a feeling of confidence in Toyota Tacoma. She's also never owned a car in her life. Always trucks.

 

Or what makes me a good salesman...

 

I look forward to a break down when traveling with the wife.

She loses all faith in that vehicle.

I get to go truck shopping when that happens.

Unfortunately, it's not common in our Toyotas to have a major machan ical failure.

I'm not sure of the details and correctness of this, but; so that kid that I went to grade school with, the one that told me he was going to be a aerospace engineer in 6th grade, then did just that??? Well I believe he and a couple of classmates/engineers are who turned a failed design of that plane into something that worked.
The guy does the math, trajectories to put satellites into orbit now.

 

Ah the new windmill self sustaining jet. No fuel necessary.

 

Make sure you and the family are up to date on tetanus shots! Go to Lowe’s and buy one of those big rolling magnets, go over the yard 4-5 times, then return it and say you don’t like it.

 

I think our local Ace Hardware rents them cheap too.

 

Picked up stumpy and got to work , way easier then digging them by hand.
