How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Damn, I would be mad too! I didn't want all the stuff that came on mine but they had built it right before I called. I never even tried to request they remove it didn't think they would budge. Luckily the predator steps got dropped off mine but I was just starting to like them lol. When I sent my $500 deposit they sent me a breakdown of everything on the truck and how much I was expected/agreeing to pay.

 

Have a lead on (3) access cab manuals that haven't been spoken for yet. Jerrys Toyota in Maryland

 

Just an FYI but I was told when I picked up my truck last week that any truck that was sold at that dealer will now have the extra dealer crap mandatory installed. Paint interior protection, and some other stuff that added about 3000 to the price. I guess they figure they have buyers where they want them. I was able to get mine without it at MSRP but that was negotiated in January.

There's really only one way that crap doesn't happen, and that's if enough of us say no. The Taco is my first choice, but not my only choice. I don't want to, but I'll walk if I have to.

 

My dealer was going to do that too, and I only knew it was a thing because I asked for the out the door price a week or two before delivery.

Once I saw the extra items, I told them I don’t want it and they said no problem. They didn’t try to push it at all, so hopefully you’ll have the same experience.

 

FWIW my ETA was 3/16-3/20 and i'm picking it up today just to give you an idea.

did you not get a signed purchase agreement? I got one when I put my deposit down on a allocated truck. without that you don't really have much of a deal.

You shouldn't have anything to worry about then.

 

I also have a lead on a Army Green AC manual up in NY if interested. At this point, taking a one way flight and making a memorable trip isn't abnormal in this new car climate...

 

That really sucks. The best thing you can do is just get an out the door up front that they’ll stick to (once you have an allocation). I promised my sales rep I would walk If my out the door changed any when I got my VIN and went through finance for real. They raised my interest rate when I went through the last time, but I didn’t say anything. Just make sure the out the door looks right. I’ll be refinancing the second I get a Toyota Financial account #.

 

Same with mine as of yesterday--was showing a delivery date of 4/12, now it is 4/22. It's been 3-4 weeks out for more than a month now; every week it gets pushed back.

I was thinking of asking if I could roll my deposit over to a 4runner which they actually have in stock.

Is there any issue with telling my dealer that I've been using the v-spec tool to track the progress? (it's not proprietary or something?)

 

Im sure theyll let you use it on a different vehicle. I had 2 dealers offer to allow me to leave a non refundable deposit that i can use on another car or truck if i changed my mind. I passed i only want a taco.

Just picked up a few hours ago. Absolutely love it just spent the last few hours putting seat covers on, laying out the bed Matt and organizing all my tools in my new Milwaukee pack out setup. Love the truck. Plan on getting a tonneau cover asap to keep tools save along with tinting my windows. Those will be the next mods that I do. For everyone else waiting its worth the wait. Once you get it you’ll be as stoked as I was today!
