They are heavier than I expected.

I'm in a cast and on a knee scooter (Achilles surgery), so it was fun to move them around.

For anyone who has installed their RXTs, what did you do with the brake line spacer bracket pictured here? I could use one of the bracket bolts on the new springs to secure it, but those two positions kind of stretch the line.

    im wondering the same.

read a post here saying to mount it to the leafs.
My old stock leafpack had that bolt go into threads on one of the pack brackets, that the icon didn’t have.

I put the military wraps facing forward and eyelets at the rear. I believe the icon logo stickers also went forward but don’t remember.

you know how the pack has multiple of those retainer bracket clip things, probably to keep the pack aligned and straight?
They are held with a bolt nut and tube sleeve.

I clamped the leafpack in the area of the front most one with a c clamp. Each side. Loosened it. And then installed the cable holder into it.
Except, the holder hole is too small so I had to drill it out a tiny bit bigger.

looks like he no longer makes those. I wonder if a good hardware store would have something like that. I’ve seen similar stuff like that at one store in particular before. Not sure what they’re called.

The icon instructions say if the loop doesn’t fully keep the cable out of the way, to bend the bracket. I think if I bent mine it would make it even worse.
I’ll have to check back later if it leaves evidence of rubbing. Or maybe I can wrap it in painters tape to see if it rubs off.

will at least get back under the truck again to see how it looks at ride height. Did it in the air

The way I see it, if you slide the holder to one of the farther back retainers in the middle of the pack, that would keep the cable with the pack which is bad. Because the middle section would go up and down a lot driving and off-roading.
However if it is mounted more towards the front where that section of the leafpack doesn’t move as much, hopefully it’s OK

The problem trying to bolt it to the rearmost of the front two brackets on the RXTs is it’s positioned too high then and puts strain on the brake line. I saw the note you mentioned in the instructions and I don’t see how bending it improves anything. It just needs to be lower.

I’ll go look at the truck and double check but why not the very front most? Mine is set up in option 3 idk if that makes a difference. I have the spare clips in a box (shorter) if converting to option 2 in the future

I think I have mine at the very front most ones
    Why not do that?

^^if there is enough demand I wonder if guy would product another batch of those brackets

The rearmost brackets are definitely a no go, the ones in front just put pressure on the lines from the bottom up, and the brake line is about 45 degrees off from the bracket direction, so it’s the edge putting on the pressure. It would be ok if it could be mounted to the front most bracket about an inch lower than where the bolt is. Normal brackets that aren’t angled like these are would work ok from the bolt, going to visit the hardware store and see if I can find some.

why won’t this work? Would it help if I flipped them upside down?
Or maybe welded a stud to the bracket lower down towards the bottom

those aftermarket brackets do look nicer though
Almost like they hold the cable lower as well as farther outward from the leafpack to reduce the chance of it rubbing

Unfortunately the brackets were made to be a perfect fit for the corresponding mounting points on the OEM leaves at stock height.

Just gotta root around at the hardware store for options.

Just made this for both sides... You can change the angle of the cable a bit by loosening the bracket forward of this one.
