I had the same thought when I saw the dyno

 

Every Dyno graph on TW is likely only while doing a WOT pull. Not sure what makes our tune any different than others regarding your comment. Especially if 99% of your time is under 3k RPM's... No Dyno graph will apply to your driving if that's the case.

Useless for him if he's always under 3k RPM's... Which also likely means he's rarely, if ever, WOT.

Dude he's literally responding to the post above his that assures us EVERY tune's dyno on TW begins at 3k.

Anyway, would you like to fill me in on the cruise control behavior?

I took your post as asking for someone who has purchased the tune for their experiences, and to avoid any potential biased answers, I opted to avoid answering your question as I'm not a buyer. If I'm mistaken, I'll gladly provide my experiences.

 

Gotcha. Well, I'm the hill runner of the development team. I've been refining CC lately, but my truck is currently down for maintenance. Getting it to not want to shift to on minor inclines has been the goal lately. In its current form it does okay. It's imperfect in my eyes, but that's also the goal. Which has been the goal for every aspect of the tune... perfection. Which is why we say it's still in development. We aren't there yet. Pretty close, but this ain't horseshoes.

We will provide updates as discussed above, and are still actively looking at things discussed previous in this thread.

I wasn’t calling this one out in particular, although it had a relatively high min rpm. It was more of a general observation of dyno graphs I’ve seen for the 3.5 that aren’t particularly speaking to me. The most interesting thing I see in these graphs is the smoothing out of the 4k dip. I do experience that when towing and when I’m in a spirited mood.

 

I enjoy it. 2.0 was pretty bad with adaptive cruise (that's all I use by the way, not standard cruise control). I would constantly get stuck in 5th gear going 79 down the interstate. Nexus has not been this way for me. Where I live is pretty flat, except for overpasses and bridges across rivers. I'll typically downshift to 5th, as needed, as well as 4th sometimes. But I haven't got stuck.

From what I know about Dyno's, the recording is based on when the Dyno operator presses the record button. More modern Dyno's may not be that way, or maybe it's based on the manufacturer? I'm not exactly sure on that. Maybe others with more experience could chime in on that.

We are aiming to have MT complete this summer. Mid to late June is our goal. Life outside of tuning has been less cooperative lately.

 

It's not as good as when driving, but is significantly improved over stock. I personally don't use cruise control, but I'm sure there are a few out there tuned with Nexus that can give you their two cents on it.
