3.5-3.75" backspaced wheels

I agree and I will. I got a call from Raceline directly but they left a message cuz I was at work. It was a return call cuz I emailed them about fitment issues. I'll probably call him back about the 25 psi issue.

 

Does 4WP carry Raceline?

 

So I'm going to order these Raceline 887 Rockcrusher wheels today. I just want to make sure they are actually pretty decent wheels since I have no experience with Raceline. Do they suck or are they good?

 

This is their standard reply to everything. We all know that 16" wheels do fit our trucks, so right there, we know they're full of it.
However, During my call with them, I was told that the Procomp Rock Crawler98 series would work with our trucks. I was told the 52 or 152 series would not work because of the shape/angle of the rim. This is because Pro Comp had to angle the rim different in order to make the D shape work or something.

So, I ordered the 52 series anyway because I'm hard-headed, and like annoying my neighbors with the screech of my grinder.

I'll let you know how bad/horrible it is.

 

Sweet! I ended up getting the Raceline Rockcrushers (pictured above). They are a badass wheel! The quality of these things is amazing. So glad I went with them.

 

FYI I test mounted them today on my truck and they don't rub the brake calipers but they are really really close. I spun the wheel a few times and listened but I couldn't hear any rubbing. There were also no scratch marks on the inside of the wheel where the rubbing would have occured. So it seems that they will work fine. I just wanted to post this because this was a problem I encountered searching for wheels with less backspacing.

 

I've got rock crawler 87 series 16x8 with a 3.75 backspacing. 84 dollars a wheel on 4wheelparts.com

 

How much do they stick out?^ and especk, did u get a 16x8 4.5 bs?

 

ya those are steel procomps tho. I was talkin about aluminum Raceline 887 Rockcrushers. That's cool to know tho because I was under the impression that steel procomps wouldnt fit our trucks.

 

nope 4.5 back space on rock crawler series rims scrub the brake calibers I got the 16x8 3.75 bs and its out 2 inches past my fenders, when i look in the mirrors i can see my tires

 

Do you have a pic? Does it stick out noticably further 16x8 4.5" bs

I got the 16x8" with 3.6" backspacing. It was hard to tell how far exactly they stuck out because the front wheel was turned when I tried it on. They stick out further than the ones in the pic above, but I have my fender flares off now so it sticks out even further.

 

Nice ! I want a wider wheel, I have 16x8 with 4.5bs and spidertrax spacers.I like the pro comp street lock.it comes in 16x8 or 16x10, I'm not sure what size to go with

 

Hey how much of differnce do wheel spacers make?

 

They made a pretty big difference, looks much better now imo. I got 1.25 spacers but I want wider

 

Do they cost much?

 

I wouldn't get a 10" wide wheel because the rim would stick out way too far IMO - unless you were to get atleast a 12.5" wide tire. I thought about wheel spacers but I have a feeling for some reason that they just arent that good - I was thinking more critical parts to come loose under heavy stress and they also put more strain on the wheel bearings. Do you agree with this, and if so, is it significant?
