You are not their customer, the dealership is Toyota's customer.

Did you have a contract? NO

Did you have anything in writing saying that you were purchasing this VIN number for this amount on this day? NO

Sorry but you learned a life lesson with dealerships along with some legal stuff, if your deal is not in writing you have no deal.

 

Looks good. Black paint is gorgeous when its clean but keeping black paint clean is a full time job.

Do a chargeback with your bank/credit card company.

They'll threaten to call the cops. Get a big old toothy grin, and say "please do. I'd love to watch you/your manager go to jail. I'll wait right here. Or you can return my money"

I contacted Toyota corporate because of an issue with an dealership. For maybe a week they acted like they were going to take care of me. Even said there was going to be "consequences" for this dealership if they didn't make it right.
In the end, they(corporate) had to admit to me they couldn't do a damn thing beyond calling them and asking if they could please return my calls.

They told me if I wanted to escalate the situation, I would have to hire a lawyer. Only they wouldn't use the term 'lawyer' for some odd reason. But we all know how that would have went for me...

 

Or if OP (hopefully) put a deposit on a CC just deal with them and reverse the charges.

I called 5 times over a 5 week period and each time they said they were going to reverse the charge on my credit card. They never did, so Visa reversed the charge for me even though I was past the 30 day limit, which I didn't know existed.
