In the end the only opinion that matters is yours. If it makes you happy and you can afford it then do it. How you spend your money is your business. Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one and they think theirs is the best.

I never spent a dime of my own and came out with $13K equity in the truck. Not here to argue. I know what happened. You don’t. Thanks to all for the compliments.

I have yet to see one of those in person. Very cool. Odd times we live in. I had a friend who had similar vehicle buying habits in the mid 2000's and after the third trade in about 3 months he was so upside down he wound up keeping it until it was pretty much paid off because he really didn't have a choice. One of my other friends is in the process of buying a 19 F350 from a family member who was going to trade it in. So he's paying what they were offered. Which is 10k less than they would have sold it for. And he's selling his 2014 F150 to a dealer for almost what he paid for it 5 years and 70k miles ago!

Nice truck! I took mine in for service a week ago and the salesman hut me up to trade fore an electric lime pro that is coming in. He said they have a 7500 market adjustment. I just laughed and said I will keep the Stormtrooper.

You financed, your making payments with interest. So, you are spending your money. If you financed other vehicles you talk about, same there.

I fully understand OP! My uncle once said that I bought trucks like most people buy eggs. :)

I’ve owned about a dozen different vehicles since 97’ so I can’t judge. Nice truck but I’m surprised you went from Silverado back to tacoma. Full size trucks ride so nice. I do like the nimbleness of mid size though. Cool color.

I was the same until I bought my 17 4R Pro. Going on almost 5yrs of ownership, and just recently am getting the itch for something else. I have a line on a green Taco Pro 6sp man, but just can't see me living with that color long term at all. If I was in my late 20's to early 30's maybe. Been searching for a white one, which seems like hardly any are in the pipeline to dealers.

Best part of a state with no sales taxes. Costs me $115 to title/register and that's all the state gets from me.

Guys I am probably :deadhorse:, but I have got to ask because the “break in” procedure in the manual is so vague. On the way home with my truck I took the highway home instead of the interstate to vary sped and RPMs. Within about 25 miles of my purchase (and about 35 miles on the truck) I had to pass a tractor in traffic and the truck revved to around 4K-4.2K in passing gear to get around. I was actually only doing about 45 mph to get around it. Same thing happened yesterday to hurry up and get around someone doing around 30 on the highway. Really had no choice either way. The manual states to “avoid sudden acceleration.” Do you think that I messed up? I know that it is too late now. Don’t beat my up to bad, but I am sort of OCD about things. I appreciate all the compliments, and help that is offered on here. Thanks in advance.

Man, drive it like you stole it. It's under warranty for 60k miles, by then, you'll have traded it off

Don't worry about it. Most people don't even know about a break in period.

    4000rpm didn't hurt your truck.

I just didn't stomp on mine for the first little while. That's all. I don't ever look at the tach and didn't really look at it after the second day.
